Mrs. Pereira's
1st Grade - Room C2
Home Reading Program

Our home reading program is an integral part of our classroom program.  Here is how the program works:

1. Each day your child will select a new book of his/her choice from a specific level (I have assessed each child and leveled him/her accordingly).

2. Your child will take the book home and read it with you. You will need to sign the attached recording sheet and help your child remember to return the book each day.

3. Your child will return the book to school each day. He/she will read the book to me or a parent volunteer. Upon reading, he/she will select a new book.

I have found this to be a very exciting and successful program. If you would like to come in and read with the children or have any questions, please contact me at school.
