On the Road to Perdition... Back to Glory, ...Page 4
The worst part of my life was yet to come.

Queensland wouldn't entertain the idea of my children coming to Victoria, and over the next 9 months we only had phone contact with the 2 girls.

To return to Queensland at this stage meant nothing but a considerable amount of time back in Prison (Years??).

I rang at Xmas time and was going to visit the kids on Xmas day, but the Foster Carers would not have anything to do with it.  DFS rang me and told me I would be arrested if I went near the Carers' home.

Xmas came and went, and we were heartbroken that we could not see our children.  Here I was, 2,000 kms from the kids, drug addicted and on bail for theft and fraud charges - My life was hopeless.  And the worst was yet to come!

In early January 2001, I rang the kids to say hello and was told by XXXXXXX the Foster Carer's wife that my children were no longer there.  She would not say why, except to ring Dept. of Family Services.

At the time, I thought the children were removed for fear of me returning and taking them back to Victoria.
