Upon my release in May 1999, I met with Noel and Linda who helped me and my family rebuild our lives.
At that stage, I had not really handed my life over to the 'Lord'. Noel prophesied over me in a motel room. The Lord said through Noel that I would be like the Apostle Paul and that I would go through many trials and tribulations, but that I would have a "Damascus Road"-like experience.
Despite Noel's efforts with me, my life became unmanageable - drugs and crime became the norm.
I found I could not cope with my children taken away and not being able to get them home.
My frustrations and low self-esteem coupled with being wanted by the Police were too much for me. I had failed as a father and as an individual - a "Lost Cause".
Tracey and I fled to Victoria convincing ourselves we could get our children down there and make a fresh start.
