THANK YOU NOTES

Dear Church Family: I want to thank my church family for all their prayers and kind words of encouragement. The flowers perked me up and put a smile on my face. Pastor Oliver’s calls and prayers were a wonderful blessing. God bless you all.
Love, Karen Parker.

Church of God: Thank you for remembering Deanna in such a special way with a floral arrangement for her service. The flowers and service were beautiful and we appreciate your thoughtfulness.

LIBRARY NEWS

With Valentine’s Day coming cards, flowers and candy will be bought for your sweetheart. It’s time to slow down and relax with a great book from the church library. There is an excellent collection of fiction books that include authors Janette Oke, Gilbert Morris, Grace Livingston Hill and Eugenia Price. Have you ever read the "Man in White" by Johnny Cash. If you want a good laugh there are three Erma Bombeck books: Aunt Erma’s Cope Book, How to Get from Monday to Friday…in 12 Days; If Life is a Bowl of Cherries, What am I Doing in the Pits; Motherhood, the Second Oldest Profession. One of them is sure to tickle your funny bone. Children are welcome to come to the library. We have several favorite Little Golden Books. See the poster for check-out instructions!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Teri Brickey would like to report on the success of this year’s project to get a shoebox full of gifts into the hands of children around the world who would normally not get anything for Christmas. Children in over 92 different countries received the shoeboxes you filled with toys, gifts and personal items. This year the number of boxes collected worldwide exceeded 5.2 million (over a million more than last year!) with more than half coming from the U.S. Our church gathered over 200 boxes that went to a larger distribution center in the Tri-Cities. Teri would like to thank everyone who participated in this project and hopes for an even greater success next year.

Dear Friends: Thank you for the beautiful plant for Marvin and especially for the prayers. Marvin and Terry (their son who also had heart surgery) are recuperating okay. It just takes time.
Love in Christ,
Darlene Golter.
