THANKSGIVING DINNER

Join your church family for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 12:15 p.m. downstairs. There will be a sign-up sheet soon for turkeys, dressing and all the trimmings. Everyone is invited to stay and share in one of America’s richest traditions.

  CLASSIFIEDS

WANTED: An iron and ironing board to keep here at the church. Call Anita.

FOR SALE: 4-13" studded snow tires with rims, like new, $100; call David Fitzsimmons at 276-8394.

WANTED: Turkeys (or dollars to purchase turkeys) for upcoming dinner.

  MID-WEEK COORDINATOR

Our Wednesday evening children’s program needs a leader. Our children are valuable, they are precious and deserve the best! Right now we do NOT have a coordinator for their mid-week classes. We are looking for someone who can, with assistance, lead this fun program. It includes choosing material, recruiting teachers/helpers and serving on the Board of Christian Education. If you have any questions, contact Pastor Rick, 276-1894.

Evangelism Committee-Nov. 1 at 9 a.m.

Board of Trustees, Nov. 18 at 1:30 p.m.

LITERACY OUTREACH PROGRAM

BMCC has begun its Literacy Outreach Program to reach adult students who are looking to increase job skills, improve reading, writing and math skills, and/or to earn a high school diploma or GED. They need volunteers to become literacy tutors. There will be training provided in 3 sessions, beginning Nov. 10th. Check the bulletin board for more info.

BIBLE STUDIES TO BEGIN

Two ladies Bible studies will begin in November:
  • A weekly study in Psalms at Phyllis Mayberry’s, 3323 SW Kirk, 9:30 am to 11 am. Dates to be announced. Contact DiAnna Miller (276-9020) for a study book.
  • Tracy Childress will hold a study here at the church each Tuesday at 7 p.m. Starting date to be announced

LOVE LOAVES

Our Evangelism Committee is sponsoring a World Vision project called "Love Loaves." We encourage everyone to pick up their own small (plastic) loaf of "bread" which is a bank to empty your change (and bills!) into each day. (They are on the table in the entryway.) Proceeds will specifically go to orphaned children in Africa. The loaves will be collected on Nov. 25th so be sure to bring yours to church on that date OR BEFORE.

THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Our traditional Thanksgiving Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. Adults and middle & high school youth are encouraged to attend. Childcare will be provided in the nursery for infants. Children 3 years through 5th grade will meet downstairs at 7 p.m. during this service for their regular program.

THANKSGIVING WEEK

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, our regular mid-week programs will be canceled Nov. 21st. In lieu of our mid-week programs, everyone is encouraged to attend the Blessing Service on Tuesday, Nov. 20th. (Middle schoolers will meet as usual on their "new" night of Sunday, Nov. 18th during this week.) The high schoolers will not meet on the 21st, but instead are encouraged to go to the Thanksgiving Service on the 20th.
