OPERATION
CHRISTMAS CHILD
Teri Brickey has again introduced this worthy cause sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse. All it takes is filling a shoebox with small gifts and/or personal items and bringing it to the church no later than Nov. 13. There are a few details that are necessary to learn about before you begin, so pick up a brochure in the entryway. It will very simply instruct you on how you can make this Christmas very blessed for a child far away who might not ever hear about the love and salvation of Jesus.
"Country Living" is this month’s theme for Pendleton After 5 on November 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Vert Clubroom, S.W. 4th between Dorion & Emigrant. Juanita Anstine will be performing a mini concert and Linda Guillikson from Lone Pine, Montana, will be the guest speaker. Dessert will be served. Cost for the entire evening will be $5.00. Call Vicki at 276-3947 ([email protected]) or Rose, 966-3947 by Nov. 9 for reservations. All ladies are invited to enjoy an evening of fellowship together.
This month’s spotlight is on this year’s Vacation Bible School directors, Teri Brickey, Cindy Fitzpatrick and Shannon Ellner. Teri attends church with husband Tyler and sons Mason & Jacob. She has lent her time & talents to Operation Christmas Child, Breakfast Club coordinator, youth counselor, infant nursery, this year’s Holiday Craft Bazaar chair, and many fund raisers including the fireworks stand, & Round-Up food booth as well as planting flowers & bulbs on the church grounds.
Shannon has taught Sunday school, Wed. evening kids (snacks, too) and Children’s Church, been elected Sunday School Superintendent & Asst. Superintendent several times. She has served as Harvest Party chair for several years, prepared communion, served on the Fellowship Committee and Board of Christian Education. During this and last year’s VBS she was in charge of all the crafts and has been a major craft demonstrator at Hanging of the Greens. Shannon stays busy with hubby Jan and sons Josh and Jeffry and their new business Spatacular.
Cindy was in charge of all preschool activities at this year’s VBS and assisted with last year’s, has helped with the Harvest Party, currently volunteers for our Breakfast Club and teaches Sunday school. She is married to Daren and they have two daughters, Heather and Hailey.
