| The most obvious sites in the park are predominately Pueblo III and IV. Their homes had evolved into above ground, multistoried pueblos, such as Puerco Pueblo and Agate House. Their tools included manos and metates, petrified wood and obsidian points and scrapers, and pottery that was both locally made and trade items. There are artifacts that link this region to Homol'ovi, Flagstaff, Hopi Mesas, Gallup, and Zuni areas. Many petroglyphs were made by hammer stones on the sandstone throughout the Little Colorado River Valley, including solar markers. Puerco Pueblo is one of the larger communities from this period. | |||||||||||||||||||||
