In founding and
maturing the Pakistan Expatriates Cooperative Housing Society Ltd. our
mission was to build stable and satisfied communities whose members share
a common interest in living together in an atmosphere of elegance, where
each member can find a level of comfort and space in accordance with
his/her requirements and means. Returning expatriates often ask for a
higher level and quality of infrastructure compared to what is usually
available. This society seeks to meet those demands also. We visualize an
equal-opportunity community where families can live without discrimination
on the basis of race, religion, political leanings or any other individual
variables.

Cooperative
enterprise-building is a modality of choice the world over for communities of
people who wish to work together in joint projects for mutual benefit. The basic
framework for co-op societies is regulated under government law, which defines
the principles and scope of co-op societies and establishes detailed control
systems to which co-op societies need to adhere to. The law also sets up
official monitoring systems, under control of the Registrar Coop Societies, who
is obligated to monitor registered coop societies regularly to ensure that they
follow established codes of internal control in all their operations, physical
and financial.
PECHS is a
cooperative society which works on a no-profit no-loss basis through an honorary
executive committee elected by the society's members at annual general meetings
of the society. It's procedures conform to its bye-laws framed by the members of
the society and approved by the Registrar, Cooperative Societies.
