Profile
PECHS was
registered at Lahore in April 1986 under the Co-operative Societies Act.
It became operational in 1987 when it received initial funding from from
the Bank of Oman Ltd., Dubai, UAE. (The bank has since been renamed as
Mashreq Bank.) Membership of the society is open to all Pakistanis. The
society is managed by an Executive Committee which is elected by members
at the Society's Annual General Meetings. In accordance with its specific
objective, the society has so far set up and developed two major housing
schemes with quality infrastructure and auxiliary facilities such as
community mosques, shopping centers, school, public transport etc.
