MISSION

The Commission on Missions of the Dominican Province of the Philippines, inspired by the example of St. Dominic De Guzman, commits itself to the propagation of missio ad gentes, "sending people to people", thereby becoming an instrument of change through selfless devotion and full expression of love of neighbor.

VISION

The Commission on Missions envisions itself to be an evangelizing Christian mission apostolate dedicated to community service and development.

To actualize this vision, the mission apostolate commits itself to:

1. continuously explore prospective areas in different parts of the country and the Asia-Pacific Region that may benefit from the establishment of mission stations;

2. collaborate with various schools and universities in the conduct of research that will help in the improvement of the standard of living in the different mission stations;

3. empower the youth, especially the students and the young professionals, by providing an avenue for community work and involvement;

4. establish literacy and livelihood programs that will optimize the potentials and resources of the mission stations;

5. conduct projects that will maintain a healthy and safe environment in the different mission stations; and

6. create awareness of and elicit involvement with the mission among the solemnly professed brothers and members of the Dominican Order.
