| Day 8: On the Morning boat ride out of VVR, there were so many hikers that they had to take 2 boat loads. An interesting side note, Jim the Resort owner had the PCT hikers load on first, then the Forsest Service personel, and finaly the JMT'ers. I suppose that sets the pecking order. But I guess it does make sence. The PCT'ers have a long way to go to get to Canada, so he was giving them priority. We left on the afternoon boat and everyone fit in one load. |

On Top of Silver Pass, Wrong Way, Myself and Snickers enjoy a photo op. We continued on for the only 20 mile day I did on the trip. With only 6 miles left on day 10, we came out at Reds meadow. I went to go back home while Wrong way continued on his journey to finish the PCT. Snickers went as far as Sonora Pass and then his trip ended. Cliff Hanger, Shutter Bug and Steady were ahead of us since leaving VVR and continued on to finished the trail. (More Photo's of Reds Meadow Store) |
