Items of Interest

I guess it's kind of presumptuous of me to assume that the below items will be of interesting to you.  So I won't.  I'll simply state that I found them interesting, and so might you.  Whatever.

Emotion Here is an IM Log of a conversation I had with someone on the subject of emotions.  I stand by everything I said in this conversation.

The COUGAR Here are a couple of sample mastheads for The COUGAR that I have been thinking about.  Since our last issue was canceled, I've had a lot of time to do that.

United Kingdom Project The UK, as I found out (although through no choice of my own) is a very interesting place with a rather strange democratic government.

Vol. II, Issue 1 of The COUGAR I'm gonna post The COUGAR a couple of days ahead of the official publication date on my web site so those loyal visitors are graced with a special opportunity to get a sneak preview.  It may take me a while to link it under items of interest, but you should be able to just type it in directly and get the PDF version.

Vol. II, Issue 2 of The COUGAR Well, here's the second issue of the paper for this year.  Doing good, huh?  Two issues in four monthsÖ that's almost half last year's speed.  Signs of encouragement greet me everywhere I turn in journalismÖ an incompetant layout editor here, a late article there, a reporter who defaulted on an articleÖ it goes on.  Actually, there's a rather interesting story behind this issue.  We were actually supposed to come out on Dec. 22 (which is what the dateline on the frontpage says) but because of certains persons not pulling their own weight (and my unwillingness to pull it for them) we were forced to postpone production of the issue until after winter break.  Thus the Jan. 8 distribution day.  The days of the EIC picking up all the slack are [almost] over.  Over, I tell you.  You hear that Amy?  You hear that?  I'm slowly learningÖ
