Goth movies have been around for years in Hollywood. Some features are; The Crow, The Hellraiser series. Other Gothic movies are the original Nosferatu, the color remake Nosferatu the Vampyre, and Dracula (the many remakes, and new productions). More recent goth movies include; The Matrix trilogy, Underworld, Van Helsing, the cult classic: Rocky Horror Picture show, Vampires, Interview with a vampire. The list goes on.

Goth movies also seen on local TV made Dramas are weird, like; American Gothic, Dark Shadows, Bones, Creep Show. Not to say again that Vampirism is not the only thing Goth movies that runs deep, Logan's Run, Space 1999 (although a Sci Fi drama, 1979).
Vampires and it's culture hold sway on Goth movies. Every one of the vampire movies created has shown its self in goth culture. With the making of the Matrix and Columbine, that all changed, and Goth movies went the way of cyber-punk and a near dark future, like Blade Runner, and Terminiator. Are Goth movies trying to show main stream society that this will be the outcome soon? And not to say that Armegeddon, Deep Impact, and the Day After could not happen, which could be concidered Goth movies.
