| July 26, 2002 so yesterday i go to minglewoods here in ottawa with some shoe comp. peeps. of course since its ottawa you're bound to run into people you know but i never thought it would be the director of jesus christ vampire hunter. this guy looked familiar because i saw him at the premiere of the film in toronto. i think i wrote about that in my blog a long time ago, like january or something? anyhow i say "excuse me, are you the director of jesus christ vampire hunter?" and he says "yes i am" the JCVH tshirt should have clued me in. but i told him my story and he's like, my name is lee and i said my name is metzti. he couldn't pronounce it right. so he asks a little later on if we could look after his beer whie he went out for a smoke..whatever. i guess in ottawa we are polite like that. turns out later that my friend jeff knows him from way back, before the movie even came out. small world really. chris if you're reading this, the whole time i thought of you. so after it was me, cat, venissa, jeff, bright and joe and we went back to cat's and didnt sleep till 5 in the morning. cos we play it like that. it's all at the bridge! . pax . |
July 28, 2002 only 25 days till i go back to t-dot. not to be confused with 3 weeks and 25 days because i said that last night and booy was i wrong! thats what a shoe company bbq with burgers and poy will do to you i guess. also, i realized i really quite like ottawa, its a nice place to be, and its pretty well safe, and it can be loads of fun, you just need people that share the same mentality about it. and luckily i know a few people, and thank god for them, they have kept me sane for the past few months, and if they are reading, hopefully they know who they are, but they probably wont so i'll just have to tell them later. also if you are bored go to the savage love contest tightywhitiesarehot.com to vote for the best looking guy in tighty whities. this is mostly for girls, but if you're a guy and want to check it out please feel free. . pax . |
| July 30, 2002 spent the day working on the unofficial keystone species site. www.geocities.com/ keystonespecies then nic and justin kidnapped me and we spent the day frolicking downtown. frolic frolic frolic. very nice times. i decided i would post my quiz results in case people were wondering who was who and what was what, so here are the final results. by the way, most did very well, next time i must make the quiz harder. thanks to everyone who took it! |

| August 1, 2002 tonght i'm going to see saian supa crew in montreal. im excited cos i'm getting a chance to get a different scene. i've been in ottawa for the longest time, it seems. it's so hot and i keep getting headaches from staring at the computer screen for too long. its quite annoying. i was listening to the radio (very rare for me) and the song running away from hoobastank comes on. and i have to ask, why does he sound just like my brandon boyd?! i know hoobastank and incubus are friends, but i wouldn't want my friend ripping me off. and i can't hate the song cos it sounds like incubus, but it pisses me off that i like it because i feel like i'm enjoying second best, which i am. anyways, enough of that. that avril lavigne really does get on my nerves, she's everywhere. if i saw her i would kick her in the head. i have to go get my laundry now, so hopefully exciting things will go down in mntl and i can tell you allll about it (don't look so excited). . pax . |
| August 4, 2002 so here is the lowdown on the weekend: thursday: saian supa crew = one of the best show's i've seen. they really hyped up the crowd, and they are super talented and great entertainers. i would recommend that show again and again. friday: shopping in montreal = a good time. simons is the only dept. store worth going to...in the world. saturday: glengarry highland games in maxville, ontario. population during the games 25, 000, population before and after the games: 10. boys in kilts = not a bad thing. and bagpipes = not as annoying as some people make them out to be. but after a whole day, is hearing them afterwards in your head a bad thing? overall, good times. sunday: day of rest, finally i am home after a hectic weekend. its nice to be away but its also nice to rest. thoughts of the move are still in my mind though...i pray for everything to run smoothyly, just like my weekend. in other news, some more celebrity look-alikes. these two everyone knows they look alike, but did anyone know that they are actually twins? |

| August 8, 2002 today it is: team canada's birthday (and i dont mean the hockey team) and the official countdown says its 2 weeks till i split (yikes). so i was looking at the UK pop charts and number one for the past ever is Gareth Gates with his super-cheese ballad 'Any One Of Us' so i wonder, who the hell is this guy? andrew from work says he may be the pop idol winner (american idol of the UK). turns out that gareth gates wasnt even the winner of the pop idol contest, he was just a runner up. only in Britain can you be the runner up to some dumbass pop contest and still become a big star! not like in Canada... Velvet Empire who?!... exactly! . pax . |
