July 17, 2002 welcome to the new insomniac. it's amazing how the summer can go by so quick. it seems like just yesterday i was kickin it in the t-dot and such, but now in the capital city everything has been quite laid back, and im reading to get back to the crazy life in 1.5 months. but in the meantime i'll tell you what ive been getting up to... ... on second thought lets not go there. i've seen that other former 11th floor alumni have been keeping up their end of the blogging bargain. read up on texas heathers adventures and chris' crazy days on the east sizzide. i must say, ive enjoyed the time off and there have been visits to and from tdot and other nearby city's. there are even some photos, if only i could figure out how to install this damn scanner... i've been meaning to bring up this next point because i honestly think there is something to it.. is it just me or does mark from westlife look like the kid who played mark on home improvement? the resemblance is uncanny....

because i'm "a good time". they were looking for kareoke (downtown?! its not gonna happen). we found minglewoods instead. upstairs (we were on the patio but it started raining) there was this guy, "give me a topic, anything at all and i can make a poem out of it" so the four of us (steve, nic, kerry and i by the way) have a group huddle to decide. i tried to keep it clean but its imposs with those boys but after many rejections ("cock!") rooster was the deciding subject, and this is what Shawn Janzen wrote in five minutes about a rooster. Rooster Roosters, the booster upper in morning dawning to the cockle-do on the bam dew dripping like the noise that annoys at the crack of caffeines beans drank to get the tanked hung-over of the night before borne on the headache of the cock, at the break of dawn, for any cockle doo - Shawn Janzen ** snaps fingers ** . pax .
July 22, 2002 at first i was all enjoying all the free time summer could bring, convincing myself that it was good for me and that a little settling down is not so bad. now? i'm beyond all that and am getting really really irritatingly bored. but, there is exactly only one month left, so the countdown begins. . pax .
July 23, 2002 sometimes it only takes one moment to realize that no matter how fabulous something once was, that it will never be the same again; and you can't trash all the previous fabulousness, you just have to accept it and then let it go. the easier it is to do that, the less bothered you are. but, if it's so easy for you to let go, does that mean that you've got a cold heart? i hope not. . pax .
only 28 more day's till i move back to toronto. woohoo! . pax .
July 18, 2002 yesterday i was so innocently walking home from work. i was just about to walk up the steps of my stoop when a gang of hoodlums in a black golf decided to hi-jack me. luckily i knew who they were and they weren't hoodlums at all. but they thought they'd stop by
July 25, 2002 like sand in an hour glass, these are the days of my life... ain't it funny how we pretend we're still a child. softly stolen under our blanket skies. rescue me from me and all that i believe. i won't deny the pain, i won't deny the change. should i fall from grace here with you. would you leave me too? -Galapogos
