These are some cartoons, comics, and satire which deal with issues related to mental health and bipolar disorder. I feel studying how we're portrayed in comics gives us insight into how we are perceived in society since the humor depends upon the audience being able to recognize the symbols the artist/writer is utilizing. |
Like most humor, these examples have a painful side to them. Ultimately, I believe we use humor to cope with and come to terms with our pain. |
