Harbour's playing and writing really gets to shine on his solo releases. Unrestrained and uninhibited, Dave shows a more subtle and refined progressive style. His piano playing meshes and intertwines with the bass. The bass guitar is no longer an anchor or supporting and subordinate instrument, but emerges as a melodic independent voice.
