Legacy: September 23, 1991

A new beginning has come
a new birth if you will
I continue my legacy
beyond the last crossroads

I stand now in a possible way
towards a bright new day
a new beginning is here
come finally to claim me

For now I am in college
learning a whole new skill
ready and positive now
for what lies ahead

For years I've waited
for the sign to begin
to struggle for my life
while learning of myself

For the first struggle
was indeed against myself
allowing time to carry
me to the moment

Time flows carrying me
along without a thought
but my legacy will last
long after I'm gone
