Legacy December 21, 1991 Legacy: December 21, 1991 Time continues to flow carrying me on its course I'm floating to a better day leaving poems to point the way Poems are my legacy telling of my hopes and fears telling of my victories and defeats telling of my dreams and nightmares Like struggling to find a wife someone to share my life I came close in recent times and I'm still trying to win Oh yes it has been hard especially with me in school but I won't give up on my future and school is important But whether I'm married or single whether in school or out of school God is walking with me lighting up my pathway that I must walk to the future But it hasn't been easy sometimes I feel like I am only reaching for illusions It hurts to be alone but really I am not for where ever I go God is with me I only wish that sometimes I can see my future but given the chance to look I will refuse it immediately But I know that one day I will know all the answers that will make me whole until then I will continue to fight For as long as I live time will continue to flow and the legacy will continue growing as I grow Paul Vernon Deffendall December 21, 1991 prior Legacy next Legacy back to Legacy index
