Legacy: June 16, 1985
What of life does a poet know
life is a sacred art
the memories that I made
will with time eventually fade
I am a simple man
with a poem's plan
the talents that I have
are sometimes not enough
My poems are just a part
of my spirit and soul
that comes from my heart
a part of my legacy
I don't really know
just who will read these words
maybe it is only a dream
but it is a good one it seems
This legacy is just a simple thing
these words seem to sing
I just want to leave behind
a small part of me
My troubles are not too big
and maybe they are only trivial
they are a part of my life
and a part of my legacy
