DG Elements
All week long we passed out invitations to those we
passed on the street for DG Elements on Saturday night.
DG stood for "Dangerous Goods,"
those things in our lives that we need but if handled incorrectly can
lead to destruction. For example, electricity or gasoline would be
considered dangerous goods--we need them in life, but they both can be
life threatening if mishandled.
So, our topics for the night were: sex,
money and power--all three dangerous goods!

We started the evening by singing!
Marcus (to the right in the pic to the left) and I led the
songs. Yes, we sang in Cantonese!!!
It was a lot of fun!
The picture above shows the people attending participating in one
of the songs! |
 |
Showing truly a partnership:
we had a skit and a testimony about each of the three topics.
The skits were done by one of the
Chinese fellowship groups at the church and then the American team
shared testimonies.
Here in this picture, Mel (from Hawaii) shares about the love of
money, while the pastor of the church translates for him. |

Sunday Services
For both Sundays we were in Hong Kong, we participated
in the church services.
 |
On the first Sunday, I shared a testimony
at Fanling Baptist Church's early service and then at a chapel
that Fanling works with. Then the second Sunday, I shared a
testimony at the second service at Fanling Baptist Church and then
we sang as a group, "I Have Decided to
Follow Jesus"--once in Englsih and then once in
Cantonese. |
 |
| On the second Sunday, our team leader preached at
both services at Fanling Baptist Church. Then the pastor
of the church gave an invitation. It was so
exciting! The presence of God was so clear and so
strong. Several responded in both services and about
14 accepted Christ as their Savior
that day! It was such a blessing
to be part of that service. In the picture above, we (the
Americans) wait at the front to welcome those who want to become
Christians. The Chinese in the front are those who have
decided to pray to accept Christ! Praise
God!!!! |
