| 18 March 2004 Today is officially the first day of the Cherry Blossoms! So what looks like snow falling down your screen, well -they are actually Cherry Blossoms, falling down in the strong gusts of wind we are experiencing at the moment! This web site has been updated with some new photos, notably, an "old" photo of Mum and Dad () and a new photo of an English class: Meanwhile Work 17 February 2004 Have updated some pages, notably correcting Leana's name to Lesley and added some English quotes to the Japenglish page. Japenglish Meanwhile 21 January 2004 Well finally the main frame of the Japanese site is established. All main pages are open, with the addition of two new sections: Meanwhile Miscellaneous Check it out and any feedback is most welcome. From now we want to finish the architectural section (in the Abiko section -with pictures of the city etc) and also get some photos of our apartment to add to the Miscellaneous section. We also will be adding shortly the International Convention section under Events... so look out for these soon! 16 January 2004 Ooohhh...it's cold here now! Can't wait for spring! Nonetheless, the computer hasn't frozen over (yet) and so some more updates made over the last few days, including these two new sections under EVENTS: Korean Restaurant Jonathan and Ai's Wedding 5 January 2004 Hey it's 2004 already! We're now into the third year in 'our voyage'! Anyway, we are happy to announce that the following pages have been opened: A special thanks goes to Itsuka who arranged the Chat Room (which has to be run off a Japanese server!). Please register with us and lets have a chat! Also, some videos of events last year are ready to download. In addition, some photos have been added to the Family sections and corrections made to the Barry's Trip and Cherry Blossom pages. Also, some have told us that the site goes down and is inaccessible at times. This is because Geocities has a BANDWIDTH limit on their free web sites -meaning that they put a limit on the amount of data that is transfered over a certain period of time. If this continues to be a problem we will consider shifting the site to a better location, so please let is know if it happens to you. 27 December 2003 It's SNOWING today! WOW! So a good time to be inside and finish the site. Finally completed checking the pages, photos and links. Everything ready for the launch. The only sections not up are the Video, Miscellaneous and Meanwhile sections, plus the Korean Restaurant and Jonathan and Ai's Wedding in the Events section. Will hopefully complete this next week during our time off. Also, Itsuka is now working on completing the Chatroom and Japanese translation of the site -and will be checking the text at the same time for accuracy! Please let us know what you think of it or of any problems, broken links, photos that look bad or don't appear, spelling... etc 26 December 2003 Well, have been here now exactly a year and to celebrate we have FINALLY launched the Japan section to our web site. Most of the pages are up but there are several more to add! Even so, processing the 300 or more photos in the Japan section alone was quite an effort... and so many more to come! . |
