5. The more the merrier.

Hydra has continued it's attacks on the Immortals, when suddenly titans from the Hippy Stompers alliance are sighted to our north and open fire in a surprise attack. Well, Hydra hadn't committed anywhere near it's whole forces to the Immortals front so we had enough titans to launch our own counterattack - which was so successful it turned into an entirely new campaign against the Stompers.

F.I.S.T. Lock Here the Immortals made thier stand. Notice the breeder groups a turns move behind the lines constantly replacing titans as fast as Hydra could destroy them. For most of this fight Keewaydin and I were using Weapon Tech 70 titans and enjoyed the range advantage, but were frustrated by the Shield Tech 70 defenders the Immortals had entrenched on the mountains - stalemate - and one of the most enjoyable battles I've had so far. F.I.S.T. Lock was eventually cracked open when some Dia Shan and Terrier pride forces, who had originally been moving to attack the Stompers, were shifted south once the route they had planned to travel was blocked by the new Motley borders set up to Hydra's east.

Things didn't go all Hydra's way however. Ratsgut was about to launch some fast strikers into the rear of Hydra's breeding grounds, and could have caused considerable damage if the early "Revelation super alliance" controversy hadn't come out, which was the catalyst for all three alliances coming to a peacefull, even anticlimatic end to a glorious conflict.

Overview of the war OK, too much happened in this war to ever really cover everything. So instead this map should illustrate roughly the starting position of Hydra, Motley and the Immortals, and the areas covered during the conflict.
