At last! The reason I started this website in the first place - to interview teachers of improv around Chicago (and maybe elsewhere).
First off, I never claimed to be the best interviewer in the world. I'm pretty average at it in fact. I don't do much prep work or research the people before the interview; in part since I want it to feel more like a conversation than an interview. I'll learn how to do it better as I go along, I guess.
Also, to hell with the rough look of the interviews, but that's the way I'm keeping them. Read every word and every pause and stutter; learn the speech patterns of the people. Besides, it's different and I like that it's different.

Re. Noah Gregoropoulos Interview
So I had to read the 5th Harry Potter book when it came out so all my free time was spent doing that. Also, with my trip to the Del Close Marathon coming next weekend, I expect much of my free time to be limited until after I come back from New York. So... transcribing the Noah interview (which indeed has already taken place) will take longer than I thought. Expect it to be done on online around the end of July.

Re. Bob Dassie Interview
I wasn't able to schedule a time for an interview when Bob was in Chicago due to my laziness so I will postpone the interview for now and move on to another teacher I had. That teacher being...
Re. Noah Gregoropoulos Interview
That's right, Noah. I'm in the middle of scheduling an interview time with him but hopefully by the end of June I will have an interview with him done and up on the website.

Re. Jack Interview.
The Interview with Jack McBrayer is up.

Re. Jack Interview.
Almost done... almost. Expect it to up either late afternoon Monday, April 14 or early the next morning.
Re. The new title.
I've finally figured out a neat sounding name for my interviews: i 2 i: Improvisers To Interview. I like the multiple thing you can get out of it... but I won't go into them since you can probably figure them out yourself and I'm a lazy bastard. Plus, it's late in the night and I need to get some sleep.

The Interview with Liz Allen is up.

Re. Liz Interview.
The next interview is finally on tape and the transcribing process is under way. The interview was with Liz Allen and I think it is a good one. I estimate it will be done in two weeks since I have to travel and my free time is being cut away considerably.

Re: Next Interview.
Already the gears are in motion in setting up the next interview. I'm a paranoid freak and I won't say who the interview is with yet for fear of others interviewing them and posting their interview before mine. Yes, I'm a freak.

Re: Craig Interview.
Much pardons to Craig Cackowski in the delay of transcribing the interview I had with him...2 months ago! Operation "Transcribe During Every Spare Minute" is underway and the prospective posting date is a week from now. Hope to see a link to the interview on May 14, 2002.

Re: TJ Interview.
Almost transcribed. Probably will be posted tomorrow.
five hours later-
It's done!
I decided to post the interviews as recorded, so if it's hard to read, it's because I've included all the stutters and incomplete thoughts we had. So enjoy.

Re: General stuff.
I'm still trying to figure out if I want to post the interviews as recorded or actually clean them up to make them more readable. I'm leaning towards to leaving them as recorded. Maybe I'll some day actually put the recordings on here!
Extra note (5/7/02):...Probably not, since I'm recording over them because I'm too cheap, poor, and lazy to buy a brand new microcassette.
Also, the first interview is done and in the "in production" phase. Please stand by...
