Tabi, Tabi Boot, Tabi Sock, Japanese Socks
On formal occasions, wear split-toe socks with Japanese geta or zori sandals. While it’s a fashion faux pas to wear socks with sandals in the West, it’s all part of traditional Japanese dress. In a country where it is customary to remove shoes before entering a house, tabi socks are used for this purpose.

plcolor.JPG (15129 bytes)Dragon Geta Sandals
Geta sandals are wooden clogs that look like flip-flops, a footwear native to Japan. Traditionally carved out of wood with two wooden cross pieces attached under the sandal to elevate feet from rain or mud while walking outdoors. Modern productions feature rubber cross-pieces, which inhibits the distinctive clacking sounds of wooden geta sandals, but it provides some safety. Our collection features dragon designs on the foot-bed, soft plastic straps and rubber soles with traction.  Click Here for Ordering Info
