UPDATES COMING SOON!!!! PLEASE CHECK BACK!!!
Hi!!! The first thing that all who visit this page should know, is this is
a free site and is not sponsored by anyone, and that includes the UAW. Most
of us who have created this site have worked at SIA for 12 years or more.
A few have worked for SIA for 4 to 7 years.
We decided to create a web page so that all associates can find out what
issues affect other associates in different departments, also to explain
that, only by organizing and bargaining for a legal and binding contract can
our voices be heard and true changes be implemented.
This web site is NOT intended to be anti SIA. This web site IS intended to
raise the awareness of all associates as to what is going on in all
departments, and to notify SIA that organized and with a contract, we the
associates, will have a VOICE.
It is our hope that all associates will communicate with each other through
this web site. By communicating, gaining the knowledge of all issues
throughout the plant and bargaining for a contract will we be able to
develop a VOICE that has to be heard. Then we will all begin to be treated
fairly and equally.
We all hired in with expectations. Those expectations were we would be
working for a place that was different from any other, a place that would
listen to us, a place that would take action on our concerns and a place
that promised we would share in the prosperity of our its growth. Tell us
your opinion. Have your expectations been met? Have you lost or had you
benefits limited, even during SIA’s profitable years?
We encourage all associates to participate in communicating with each
other. We will display emails and questions posed to us at work on this web
site. We will not use the names or emails of anyone who communicates with
us or the web site.
Finally, some information we would like to see communicated is, what’s said
at the roundtable meetings (since management will not tell us), what our
AR’s have to say, what is said at meetings, what your opinions are on TIPS,
CCTV announcements, benefits and transfers.
Please navigate this site and let us know what you think.
