City of Ashes
Clary has now entered the world of shadow-hunting and wishes she hadn't. She has lost everything normal about her life, her mother is in a coma, her father is a force of evil going against the clave and Jace is her brother. She has been missing her best friend Simon who doesn't seem to fit into her new life with werewolves, fairies and vampires around every corner.
On top of it all downworlder children in New York City are being murdered. The culprit is unknown though the most likely suspect would be Valentine. To complicate matters the Soul-Sword is stolen just as the Inquisitor arrives to make Jace, the son of Valentine, her number one suspect.
