Jacob LOTZER immigrated to USA in 1854. No ship record found at this point-I believe they entered via the St Lawrence Seaway. Margaret SCHILLER immigrated with her family to USA in 1851- entering thru the Port of New York. Both families settled in the Fond Du Lac WISC area. They married @ 1865 in Fond Du Lac County Wisconsin. The 1870 Federal census lists them living in Marshfield twsp Fond Du Lac County Wisconsin. At that time they had three children-Christina-Michael and John...also in the home at that time were John LOTZER age 79 and Mary LOTZER aged 70. The 1880 Federal Census lists them still living the Marshfield twsp Fond Du Lac County Wisconsin-at that time they had nine children. They probably moved to North Dakota in the fall of 1880 or early spring 1881. Between 1881 and 1886 they had three more children. They moved to Minnesota in 1896... In 1900 they lived in Nordick twsp Wilkins County Minnesota and in 1905 they were living in Kent Wilkins County Minnesota . They had a farm on the Red River in McCaulyville--just outside of Kent Wilkins County Minnesota.
