RELIGION
The shared value that governs
social behavior is common only in racial identification; group memberships
are therefore identified by kinship ties. The strength of bloodline alone
determines one’s position in standards; a ticket that opens doors of
opportunities. From this perspective, a community is structured upon layers of
cultural groups; the majority one at the top of the hierarchy, the minority
one at the bottom of the heap. This structure is common with Conservative and
far rights liberal movements that are largely taken for democracy.
The economy is the next in
structural formation of society. That is; the participatory of economic
activities binds different cultures. Cultural survival depends upon economic
developments; the idea itself is modified in transitional periods from
tradition to the modern. Progress in this perspective is a cultural movement
from its origin towards the top of the hierarchy; the top of the hierarchy
been the majority culture. While values are radically changed, the smaller
groups are threatened to extinction. Those who are born in a small group status
adopt the more attractive ways of the modern but also of the majority
culture. This compared with poverty stricken conditions and the social
expectations associated with a culture in this social sector is a motivation
to change. Culture is a product of economic progress.
With the exception of sports
and entertainments fanatics, religion is the third factor in structural
formation. While the dope of society draws huge followers, its economic
benefits are not necessarily a result of spiritual choice. Rather, happiness
may be stratified according to layers of choices: one of material pleasure;
another of the spiritual nature. While psychology plays a role in behavior,
spiritualism departs itself from the body to focus on natural activities of
the mind.
In its departure, one may
leave behind the traditional associations with materialism for the more pure
activities of rational behavior. And this is the position I identify true
religion with. It is not racial, cultural, economic, or fanaticism. Rather, it
is pure. It is not restricted to Jesus, Abram, or Gandhi or privately owned
by the cultures of their time, it is not economically determined. Religion
stands alone independently from the above influence. It perceives life from
the a priori position, the creation of knowledge and their behavior in
their origin. And this is where the individual is related to God through a
median of spiritual participatory whether its prayer, meditation, music or
play.
While religion is economic
depended, politics play a powerful role in determination of its direction.
Religion is reformed by social pressure of a time undergoes radical
transformations associated with the economic and cultural influence
paralleled to it. Religion in the modern is political motivated according to
the social normalization of culture. This perspective unites religion with
the social, economic, and political structure of a society. When this
occurrence exists, it emerges a platform for judicial and educational
determinations according to the values based upon the social hierarchy of the
community. It is the union of modern religion and the State.
But true religion is
metaphysical, independent, and appeals to the universal identification of
humanity irrespective of all of the above corruptions.
From the a priori
position, the spirit is independent of the self; reality is created from
nothingness. It is free from the existing influence of culture, economic, and
their politics.
Victim
Reality is not a
self-entity. Rather within it is true
spirituality pure and innocent. That
means the traditional followers of religion are merely conforming to culture
and traditional norms. The basis of
Christianity therefore is only limited to the human Jesus, the holistic unity
with God is less practiced. It is
more of the physical Jesus than Spirituality - is true to a materialistic
reality.
An example of events where the
church has fallen victim to culture implied a time when individuals found the
church a refuge from witch-hunt, took vows in religious order.
This is now challenged by the
modern culture of society, the church continues to reform according to the
demands of nationalistic norm. That
is; the church unites with the state to politicize the economic or material
organization of society. The social reforms materialized an economic role
within the church.
But take the self away from
the real and the church is purified from social political and economic
corruption. This is the stage where a
religious transformation emerges, a renewal by departing from the state to be
independent and pure.
It is not the church’s doctrine or God’s will for the abuse, rather a product of society itself. The church like any other social institution is a victim of culture and traditional expectations.
A Spiritual Transformation (Revelations)
A woman clothed with the sun,
The moon under her feet
Upon her head a crown of twelve stars
Being with child cried travailing in birth
A great dragon with seven heads
Ten horns and seven crowns
His tail drew third the part of the stars
The dragon stood before the woman
To devour her child as was born
A child to rule the nations with a rod of iron
Was caught up unto God and his throne
There the angels in heaven
Michael fought against the dragon
But their place was found no more
The great dragon and his angels
Were cast out into the earth
A devil to deceive the world
Accuser of our brethren day and night
But the brethren loved not their lives unto death
The dragon persecuted the woman
But the woman were given two wings of a great eagle
That she might fly to her place in the wilderness
Where she nourished for a time, and times, and half a time
From the face of the serpent
The serpent cast a flood after the woman
But the earth opened her mouth
And swallowed the flood
The dragon was wroth with the woman
And went to make war with the remnant of her seed
Which kept the commandments of God
Woe to the earth and of the sea
Rejoice in the heavens and those who dwell in them
