My friend Emily and I split the cost for Catz 4 waaaay back in 1999 when we were in 6th grade. After discovering the cool online Petz Community I decided to try creating a site of my own. I named it Fritz Legend after a cat I had lost in a computer crash. I used Homestead page builder to create it and needless to say it pretty much sucked. I thought myself HTML a little while later and manged to create a new layout for Fritz Legend that was a little better.

After a while (probably around 2001) I decided to make a completely new Petz website. I called it Aberrant Petz because back in the day it used to be cool to name your website a big word you didn't understand the meaning of. I chose Aberrant because it would show up near the top on alphabetized links lists. This site was considerably better than the first one and had a reasonable amount of success as far as Petz sites go. At some point in the beginning of High School I lost interest in Petz and decided that it was uncool to have a Petz website. I completely deleted the website and planned on never stepping back into the Petz Community again.

I'm sure you're wondering why the heck I built another Petz website after all that. Quite simply, I created Yellow Submarine because I was bored and wanted something to do. Emily had recently updated her old petz site Deviant Petz and I thought hey, what the heck, maybe I'll try making a new site . I had recently been working on a website for my Dad's photography and I was reminded how much fun website building could be. I knew I wanted to name the site something Beatles related because I love the Beatles. Originally I was going to call it Tomorrow Never Knows, but Tomorrow Never Knows is sort of a weird drug influenced song. I decided that since Petz is really a kids game I would name it after Yellow Submarine, a silly little children's song sung by Ringo. There is also a Beatles cartoon movie called Yellow Submarine so I was able to use a lot of cute graphics from that. After deciding on the name I borrowed the Petz CDs from Emily and got to work. The result of my work is this website. The End. (Whew, that was long!)
