| The Loren Elves of Revelwood | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelwood, the tree of myth, to some a tale of faye. This is the home to the guardians of the eastern ways of Loren. The watch-ward of Karak Norn. Here, in ages past, a great sorrow, and a great joy, did fall. For there came upon this realm, an elven son - heir to the lordship of Revelwood. Not born of maiden - but from death; for she who would have been his mother fell in battle. Her mount and lifefriend, the unicorn 'Un pea de reve', saw that protecting his mistress was futile, and chose to release the unborn lordling from his prison of death; fleeing the field with him. To the mystical faye he did go. Under the care of the dryads and the guidence of the great and wise treefolk of Loren, the young lord did grow strong in body and mind. Palidia Mors they did call him. For he was born of death, and pale as the alter of the lupine lords. Sylphs taught him the way of the bow. That skill in the making brings one closer to ones target. Combat with his Centaur friends taught him that it is not whether you get knocked down, but whether you get back up. Of course the Saytrs did teach him to see pleasure in all. And in their games the young Lord Mors learned the secret ways of the mystic wood. In time, through scrying and search, the mystic druids of the council of Revelwood found the young lord. They chose to send companions to go to him, to teach him the elven ways. For they saw that he was safe, and his present life would prepare him. Time will come soon enough for the young lord to take his rightful place, as the Forest Lord of Revelwood. |
