I have great interest in rubbish. Literally. There is so much beauty around us, even in trash, and i enjoy making junkart, like making painted vases out of bottles and jars, and dry-flower arrangements out of bits of trees, plants, even a twig; and photoframes out of waste cards and wedding invitations...

I believe that this is a great way to take care of nature's resources - if we started to think of alternative uses to what we are using (and discarding)..

I strongly believe that in any part of the world, there is a great wealth under our feet.. in what we walk on, what we discard thoughtlessly. Anything that can be classified as trash can be made into art.. and sometimes all it needs is someone to give a little thought..

As proof of my skill in this area, i can only produce the many certificates i have won in junk art and painting, or show you some of my work..

Won the "Best Article of the month" in Femina, Ecowatch column in September 2001, for my suggestion on disposal of waste. Read article >>

Mini Bouquets :

Small bouquets (smaller than the size of your palm) created out of waste - Dried grass, the caps on the top of small tender coconuts, saw dust, dried leaves, old broomsticks, twigs, etc. Even the plastic sheets on top, i reused from a old bouquet of flowers.

The background is painted in yellows, and the coconut 'caps' are glued onto it. Grass and leaves have also been used.

And this is my favourite: Roses made out of wood shavings, along with dried leaves and grass flowers.

Watch out for more on this space !!!
