3. The FIs in the Clubs
(3a) Are there any invisible women
members in the clubs?
Yes. Here is a list, in alphabetical order:

PAULETTE AGEE
Type: TFI/FFI depending on the circumstances
How she got that way: Has always been invisible ever since she was
somehow projected into our reality from the imagination of writer Bryan
Doe.
Permanent? Yes.
Remarks: Also known as SeeMeNot, Mysti, MysteryWoman X. and Valerie
X.
--------------------

KIM ALI
Type: TFI
How she got that way: A repairwoman, she was accidentally turned
invisible while trying to mend a strange vending machine from the planet
Ganymede.
Permanent? Until recently, yes. She had to wear a latex mask and
gloves if she wanted to be seen.
Remarks: She finally managed to track down the elusive Ganymede
Universal company, who gave her the ability to control her invisibility.
--------------------

NICOLE ("NIKKI") ALI
Type: TFI
How she got that way: She is a science student who discovered an
invisibility formula while analysing the changes to her sister Kim's blood and
DNA. (See above)
Permanent? Repeated exposure to the formula has given her the
ability to disappear at will.
Remarks: Sometimes Kim finds it hard to keep up with her, but
Nikki's "guy-buds" don't seem to mind.
--------------------

PIPPA MORAN
Type: TFI/FFI depending on the circumstances
How she got that way: The ghost of a Victorian illusionist's
assistant, she was accidentally beheaded when a trick went wrong.
Permanent? She can appear and disappear at will.
Remarks: She also has the ability to walk through walls and remove
her head, but she doesn't have the psychic energy to travel far from London,
except on special occasions.
--------------------

TERRY (TC) STANWOOD
Type: TFI/PFI
Disappearing as: tc_stanwood
How she got that way: Working in a lab at a food-processing plant, she was infected by a genetically-altered strain of vegetable that reacted with the analysis solution.
Permanent? It would seem that way, as no one's been able to effect an antidote.
Remarks: She recently learned how to control her invisibility, so she can become PFI at will. Likes to play pranks on the pizza delivery guys.
--------------------

STACI STANWOOD
Type: TFI/PFI
Disappearing as: staci_stanwood
How she got that way: Received a blood transfusion from her mother, Terry, after a serious car accident.
Permanent? Possibly.
Remarks: She's learning the "tricks of the trade" from her mom. Just began experimenting with her invisibilty.
--------------------
RUNNING BROOK
Type: FFI
How she got that way: The ghost of a native American Indian girl
who didn't make it on the Trail of Tears.
Permanent? She can appear and disappear at will.
Remarks: Her English isn't very good yet, but it is improving all
the time.
--------------------
AMY SHERMAN
Type: TFI.
How she got that way: Her druid friends made her drink a magic
potion as a joke. She woke up the next morning and found she'd turned
invisible.
Permanent? It looks that way, but she might find a cure in the
future.
Remarks: But she doesn't let being invisible stop her having fun,
as her new housemate Roland is finding out.
--------------------

NAOKO SHINAHARU
Type: TFI, with additional shape-changing powers
How she got that way: These powers are possessed by all members of
her time-travelling species from the future.
Permanent? She can appear and disappear at will.
Remarks: In this era she often uses a false identity, as a
transsexual called Kimberley.
(3b) Can I join in and pretend to be
an invisible woman too?
Certainly not! These are all real women, not pretend.
You should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting such a
thing.
(3c) Sorry. I meant, erm, I'm a real
invisible woman, can I join the clubs?
That's better... Yes, feel free; the more the merrier. You
don't need any special permission, just create yourself a Yahoo! profile and
join in the usual way. We're looking forward to meeting you.
