(2a) Where can I find the clubs, and who runs
them?

(2b) What is the main topic of the
clubs?
These clubs are all about invisible women (or "FIs" as they are known, see
question 2f below). The members post manipulated pictures of FIs, discuss
books and films about them, and enjoy the continuing adventures of the clubs'
very own invisible women (see section 3).
Discussion of off-topic material is allowed, but members will be asked to
stop if it is felt that the subject is moving into areas that are too far
removed from the topic of FIs.
(2c) But why would anyone be interested in
invisible women?
Most of the members have an unusual fetish called "aphanophilia" or
"invisiphilia". Put simply, we feel that invisible women are sexy. It sounds
strange, but compared to some fetishes it's quite harmless.
(2d) I am interested in invisible women, how can
I join the clubs?
Follow one of the URLs in question (2a) above, then click on "Join this
club" in the top right-hand corner of the screen. (You will need to be
registered with Yahoo! before you can join.)
Unfortunately, there is no way you can automatically join all five clubs
in a single action, so you will have to repeat this process for each club you
wish to join.
(2e) Can I submit pictures with adult material to
the clubs?
The "disappearinggirls"
club is in Yahoo!'s "Sex & Romance" section, so that should be the most
appropriate club for such pictures. An alternative would be to post your
picture to one of the "Manipulated Females" clubs (see section 4) which accept
adult-themed invisibility pictures.
(2f) What does the abbreviation "FI" stand
for?
It stands for "Femme Invisible" which is French for "Invisible Woman". The
term was first used by Dennard Summers on his website http://invisiblegirls.tripod.com/main.html
However, the plural is normally "Femmes Invisible" not "...Invisibles" as
it would be in pure French.
(2g) What other abbreviations do you
use?
FIan - "FI fan" (also known as an "aphanophile" or an
"invisiphile")
FFI - "Fading FI" (her clothes turn invisible
with her)
TFI - "True FI" (her clothes remain visible while she
disappears)
PFI - "Partial FI" (part of her body remains
visible)
HI - "Homme Invisible" (an invisible man)
Other abbreviations have been suggested, but didn't prove popular:
EFI - "Ethereal FI" (e.g. ghosts etc.)
WFI - "Willful FI" (she can
appear and disappear at will)
