| Night Shift Review By Brian Alspaugh Night shift is a collection of Short Stories from Stephen King, the man who brought you The Stand and Firestarter. This book is about 300 pages and contains about 20 short stories. So is it any good? Yes and no. Their are some great stories that stand out and other that are just terrible. Jerusalem's lot for example is a great piece of storytelling. This short story kept me turing pages faster and faster until the end. Another standout in this book is Somtimes they come back, a story about a man past coming back to haunt him, literally. Graveyard Shift stands as a contrast to these great stories. This story about giant mutated rats in unintentionally funny. Overall though the good out weigh the bad in this collection. I would mildy suggest this book, it has it's good parts. I give Night Shift 6.5 |
