This refers to the concerns of the jail with regard to the physical welfare of the inmates. Several programs have been made here to monitor and facilitate the necessary medical and dental interventions for the inmates to become healthy in body and spirit. The Jail Warden himself has been supportive of providing medical assistance to them, even to the point of sending them to hospitals for medical check-up and operation, in the case of inmates who have serious illness. Aside from the Medical Team in the Regional Office, there are jail officers who are also medical practitioners assigned in the jail to observe and monitor the health condition of the inmates. They are on-call in OCRC anytime their assistance is needed. To help this program, religious groups and civic organizations and the City Health Office and local government officials hold visits here to extend possible assistance. Misamis University, Hon. Congresswoman Herminia J Ramiro on the other hand, has been a valued supporter of OCRC in giving out medicines and other health supplements to the inmates.
