| Santa will be watching for all the children in and around Oxford on Saturday November 24th. He will arrive at the Gazebo in the Little Town Square in the 100 block of N Sumner at 10:30 AM. Santa will be looking for children eager to talk about their Christmas wishes and recieve a bag of treats. | A popular event for Christmas in the Country each year is the Lighting of the Christmas in tree in Cave Park along the Arkansas River. At the flick of a swithch, thousands of lights will illuminate a 20 ft. pine tree in the north side of the park. Beginning at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 23rd, the public is invited to enjoy a special Christmas music presentation and hot chocoalte before the lighting ceremony. The winners of the Yard Decorating Contest and of the Chitsmas coloring contest for young children will be announced at that time also. This celebration is sponsored by the City of Oxford and the Oxford Park Board. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
