The Rider Home
The Hamm Residence
100 S Michigan
Victorian Charm at it's best.  Right next door to the Carriage House
At #8 N Honeysuckele Court, the Hamm residence invites you to come in and enjoy a festive Christmas.  This gracious two-story home with finished basement has lots of room for family and guests and still feels cozy.  The bookcase-flanked fireplace accents the great room which is highlighted by a Christmas tree.  This tree is decorated with ornaments that have their own personal history to the family.  The dining room adjacent to the kitchen and breakfast nook needs only to have  Christmas dinnner put on the  table to make you think the day has arrived..  Other special features include the large "crafty" bathroom in the basement and touches of Americana and Coca-Cola.  Santa will want to put his feet up and warm himself by the fire when he gets to this comfortable house.
The Ginn Home

The welcoming atmosphere of the Ginn house at 305 N. Iowa Ave. will tempt you to stay awhile.  This small older house has been recently remodeled to fit the needs of empty-nesters and still have room for returning family.
Simple Christmas decorations let the special decorating touches dominate throughout the rooms.  Look for unique painting techniques on the walls and on the floor.  The simplistic decor gives an expansive feel to the home.
The beautifully landscaped backyard beckons visitors outside to enjoy the warmth of the fire pit and the shelter given by the bushes and trees.
This homey Christmas ambiance will heighten the anticipation of the Chirstmas festivities for every guest.

The First Baptist Church

113 E. Myrtle
A Christmas in the Country visitor can find a restful moment during the open house at the First Baptist Church at 113 E Myrtle.  The brick church built in 1929 will be on the open house tour againi this year.  This is one of the oldest active church buildings in Oxford and is designed with gothic style.  The sanctuary is decorated in red and gold with lavish use of candles and greenery.
The annex will offer displays of Holiday Table settings arranged by Oxford citizens.  The display will showcase a wide variety of themes and dishes.
A handicap elevator is available.  The elevator entrance is on the west side of the church.
The Bartelson Home

The Bartelson brand-new home at 302 S. Iowa is all decked out for its first Christmas.  The cozy living room is highlighted with traditional tree.  The floor plan features a large open kitchen and dining area all ready for the Christmas season.  The natural maple cabinets are set off by the dark countertops and reflect the newest trend in kitchen decor.  The fabricated wood floors are an attractive and practical way to make Santa welcome during his late-night visit.  The hand-crocheted snowflake ornaments and unique use of hand-made aprons make the Christmas tree in the kitchen one of a kind.  Be sure to see how many snowmen you can count in this home.  An extra-special treat is the cowboy's bedroom; you'll feel like Christmas has come to the bunkhouse.
The Dwyer Home

The extreior of the 1950 era Ranchette at 205 E Olive St. contradicts the trendy decor inside.  The arched passageways are the only architectural features from the 50's remaining in the house.  Deep fashion colors and comfortable furnishings combine with antiquess to lend an eclletic feel to Christmas in the Dwyer home.  The beautiful Christmas tree is covered with glass ornaments, both old and not-so-old.  The up-dated galley kitchen has been transformed by the bold use of black, white and oatmeal colors.  The bath has also been remodeled to better use the space there.   Touches of Christmas throughout the house give a festive touch to this small home.
