So I entered the Spam-a-lot topic one day (which I hadn't been in for a while) to find that there is a whole family tree being put together there. I'm not sure when this was started, how it came about, and how on earth it keeps growing, but I went there and learned that apparently Arya is a fourth cousin to Lucius who is apparently a brother to...six other people? And those seven are the children of Luna who had to give them to Emily. I'm not really sure, and I don't really remember much more than that, but it was crazy! Just goes to show what will happen when a bunch of crazy ravens start spamming lol.

Here at Hogwarts there is an amazing phenomenon. There are so many talented people. I have never seen so many artists and writers in one place like this before. The best part is we are all �aspiring� I can�t wait to see when we all graduate where the practice we have done will take us. Practice? Well by that I mean writing. First we have the Writing/Poetry Club with over 7000 post already there have been tons of submissions. Then we have the house magazines. Hufflepuff�s Transfiguration Today has seen it�s 15th issue!!! The Daily Prophet by Slytherin has also published 15 times!! It is 17 issues for Gryffindor�s The Quibbler. Ravenclaw has managed 23 issues of Witch Weekly. And Penshire�s Wizard Diegest has 24 issues. That is a lot of writing!! The last major place and the one I am still most amazed about is The Owl Gazette. It just finished it�s 51st issue this month. It seems that each month the paper grows and the submission only get better. So if your looking for a great read I suggest you turn your eyes to one of these publications.

There have been strange coincidences happening among my fellow Ravenclaws and it's starting to get a bit eerie...
One day, I decided to wear my green shirt that has star designs on them. As I got to the Great Hall, to my dismay I saw Arya wearing the exact same thing. It's not even like we went shopping together and decided to buy the shirt! I blew it off but history seemed to be repeating itself.
A few days later, I went to the library to get the book 'House Elves and the Sock Puppets' but it wasn't there. While slightly sulking in the RCR Summer came up to me asking what was wrong. I told her and apparently she was looking for the same book! Then after, Arya came in reading it. I understand if we all felt like reading or something of the sort but the exact same book?
Another day, I was out drawing a picture of something while relaxing outside on the grounds. Luna soon joined me and looked over my shoulder to see what I was doing. In her usually dreamy voice she said "Oh, I was out here drawing the same thing the other day�"
These coincidences just keep going. I bet right now someone else is writing an article on them too�

The Ravens have been going along their own normal lives, but we're starting to see some things...wacky things. Things that we can't explain.
One day, I went to the library, as I often do, and checked out one of my favorite books, 'House Elves and Sock Puppets'. When I get back to the Common Room, absent-mindedly opening the door and walking around, I see Summer and Erica talking to each other. They were suddenly staring at me, and I asked, "Is there something wrong?" To answer, they both, at the same time said, "You're reading the book that I had gone to the library to check out!" This made me jump inside. They had been looking for the same exact book as me? On the same day? This wasn't normal, and it didn't stop.
I had been talking to Luna in the hall, but there was a silence at the moment. I thought about something interesting to say to start up the conversation again, so I said, "Wasn't Dawlish's patronus awesome?" Not until I was done asking, did I notice that Luna had been talking too. She was staring at me, wide eyed, and I was staring back. Nothing had sounded any different when I was asking the question, and then it dawned on me, but I had to ask anyway. "What did you say?" I asked, at the same time Luna asked me the same question. Each word was said at the same exact time, as it had with the last question.
Another morning, I decided to wear my green shirt with star designs on it, and when I made my way down to breakfast, there was Erica, wearing the same exact shirt! We hadn't planned it, and we certainly hadn't gone shopping for the shirt at the same time. I distinctedly remember that it was just my mother and me shopping at the time.
Yet another day, I was playing the Song Game in the Common Room, and Summer posted the same exact lyrics of the same exact song at the same exact time as me. This was the fourth incident with this connection in a row. It was too much. With my luck, someone's going to have an article about these things in the OG...

People say that twins or siblings have this connection with one another, even when they're apart. However, of late, I find similar things happening to some of my fellow Ravens and myself...far too often for me to call it just a coincidence...
One day, while I was writing a Charms essay, the tip of my quill broke, and so I turned to Luna, the trusty Prefect Assistant, to ask for a replacement tip, only to find that the same happened to her, and she was going to ask me. And this doesn't stop here...
A couple of days later, I had the sudden urge to stop by our lovely library to take out "House Elves and Sock Puppets" for a light humourous read, only to find that someone else had checked it out! Utterly disappointed, I returned to the common room and saw that Erica seemed rather mellow, being the generally fun person she is. When I asked her what was wrong, she replied, "I wanted to reread 'House Elves and Sock Puppets' but it's not at the library. I wanted something to laugh at, but now it's out of my reach. I just hope whoever has it can return it soon." And with that, Arya came into the common room, engrossed in the book she was reading...which was the said book. Apparently the three (and maybe more) of us had the urge to read the same book at the same time...
Furthermore, when comparing homework answers, it turned out that Lucius and I had written the same thing - word for word, and I'm not talking about a simple sentence or anything...This is a two-feet-long response.
And then, when Arya and I were playing the Song Game, where we put a line of lyrics from a song, we chose the same lyrics from the same song and shared it at the same time!
I find this all too weird to be 'just a coincidence'...Just don't let me find that someone wrote an article about this for this same issue of the OG...

((Disclaimer all predictions are meant to be in fun! If it upsets you blame my inner eye!))
1. I predict that Professor Lockhart will discover his first gray hair and have a total melt down, which will lead to two months at St. Mungos. He will of course write a best selling book about the expreince and achieve greater fame and fortune than he has already accomplished.
I predict that Hogwart�s Owl Gazette will reach Issue 60 with much hoopla and the most articles EVER!
I predict that Professor MacIntosh will bring a new class to Hogwarts!
I predict that the Whomping Willow will grow weary of whomping people and give it up!
I predict that Penshire will win the Quidditch Cup for the second time this term!
*Ahhh I grow tired from all these predictions. Look to the next issue to see what I might see�. Remember my Inner Eye is upon you!

In this edition of Monthly Camping, we'll be exploring the last major and most luxurious form of camping. It's called Camper/RV camping. This is the form of camping where you literally bring everything including the kitchen sink. Basically, it's the same as car camping, except you don't sleep in a tent. All you have to do is pack, pick a campground, reserve a spot, drive, and set up. Campgrounds usually have water hookups.
Now, it would probably help quite a bit if we determined the difference between a camper, and an RV. A camper is like a trailer. You hook it up to the back of your truck, but unlike a trailer, a camper has beds, a bathroom, a TV, a kitchen table with booth seats, a sink, cabinets, possibly a refrigerator, etc. It's kind of like a little house on wheels.
RV stands for Road Vehicle. It's practically a larger camper with a truck built in, so you don't have to rig it up to one. The down side to RVs, though, is that they are major gas guzzlers, if you're into Muggle vehicles.
Now, because you have more space, and tons of luxury, you can bring more stuff:
- First Aid
- Blankets/sheets
- You're whole supply of real silverware
- Practically any food you feel like bringing with you
- Practically any kind of drinks you feel like bringing with you (however, alcoholic beverages are usually banned. Not that any of us have to worry about that because we're all underage)
- Rollerblades
- Skateboards
- Bikes
- Some people bring horses.
- The list goes on and on.

In earlier years in the muggle community, an epidemic has been occurring. Many muggle girls and women were set into a trance, more specifically under a love spell. It was cover up by the normal way some fan girls may behave when seeing their favorite band but something was getting out of hand.
When the Ministry of Magic began to investigate, they wondered if a love potion was administered to all these people unsuspected somehow. Many of the victims were not connected in anyway. As more research was done, it was discovered that it all started at a concert. A muggle's memory was secretly taken by an auror an put into a Pensive to look through. No beverages were administered during this time do the love potion theory was abolished. However, when one song was played it became very clear - it was a spell.
The lyrics of the famous song Strange and Beautiful went by another title- I'll Put A Spell On You. The lyrics were a spell that caused there fans to fall in love with them. A part of the song is:
"I'll put a spell on you,
You'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you.
And when I wake you,
I'll be the first thing you see,
And you'll realize that you love me."
It turns out that this band was actually a group of wizards trying to make it big the easy way. Currently they went under hiding but the Ministry is tracking them down�as well as their fans.
