| RPG-ing
By Amanda Dasaro Over the years here at Hogwarts, you may have noticed that as active as I am with the school, I'm really not as active when it comes down to RPGing. It never really suited me, because I like hands-on interaction, you know, learning as you go along. It seems like with RPGing you need to know a lot about writing and story structure, as well as having an inept eye for detail with every letter you write. Now, I was always good at all those things, so why did I never RPG? A new student in the Penshire Common Room started an RPG and it was open, so I decided to participate. I must say...making up a story as you go along has proven to be a lot of fun for me and let me use my imagination. You can do anything you want or be anything you want to be (with some exceptions). So I suggest to any of you who do not RP, you should start: you won't regret it. |

| What do you want to be?
By Erica Lovegood Not everyone has an exact career in mind. Some people have no idea. It doesn't mean they won't do anything as they get older, just that they need time to decide. Emily doesn't know exactly what she chooses to be but when she gets older, she has some idea about working with Muggles. Feeling that sense she is in fact a Muggle Born, she knows how to work with them. Arya wants to take a different path from her parents. She mostly wants to be an auror, but a little part in her wants to be a professor. She doesn't know for sure what she wants to be. Both of these girls are first years with some idea in mind. they might change it or may not. However they have a good set of years to decide. Summer Levy may be following in her father's footsteps when it comes to a career. Yup, you will probably see Summer working as a reporter for the wizarding media. Perhaps at the Wizarding Wireless Network also known as the W.W.N. The W.W.N. is the wizarding equivalent to a radio network. Who knows, she could be more popular than Glenda Chittock! Other wizarding media are The Daily Prophet, The Quibbler, Transfiguration Today, Which Broomstick, and Witch Weekly. If media is your style this is definitely something you should think about. If you end up not seeing her in the near future, you will definitely hear her voice and see her writing. Our dear raven Emma Staunton has already formed a career in mind. Her mother works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and she wants to do the same. People in this department pursue the day-to-day law offences of the Wizarding World. The Department of Law Enforcement has many jobs that can be found in it, one of them is an auror. Emma therefore may find herself working alongside Dawlish who wants to be an auror. To become an auror is a hard task but holds great prestige. However that is not the only job in that department. There are the Improper Use of Magic Office, Magical Law Enforcement Squad, and many more. I wish them the best of luck in getting there. |

By: Zoey Taylor-- and all of the interviewees Perhaps its because he has quit making the students of the school memorize the names of all of his books these days or maybe hes just an author of the past, but it seems many of his books have been long forgotten.
