Think that the broom closet is a safe place to get a little snogging in? Well, think again!! With the arrival of Cupid this Valentine�s Day, things have really shaken up! Just yesterday Cupid caught Zoey Taylor in the broom closet with Roger Davies. Who knew Huff and Penshire were such close friends!! Arrows flew and rumor has it that Roger can�t think of any one else but his purple haired love. Another couple caught was none other than Hogwarts Head Girl, Ava Black. It is said that she was caught in the broom closet with Penshire�s own Mortimer Brewster. Ava is denying any �snogging� and claims that they were just studying. So pass the word along that Cupid is out and looking for poor lovesick fouls to shoot with his arrows!

It seems almost everyone in the house of Slytherin is related somehow, either by blood or marriage. We got sisters, brothers, cousins-once-removed, uncles, aunts, in-laws, my head spins with all the nepotism going on in the house. I overheard two Slytherins plotting to give a certain half-gorgon�s snakes some pop-rocks, course we all know that is not a good thing. Also rumor has it that everyone thinks a certain Head of House is the real hero of the HP books, mind, we are talking about an HOH who we think does deserve the admiration. He does have a few threads about his smexiness and other cooler-then-thou conversations, there is even talk of a Severus Snape Sweetheart Day being placed on the calendar, course if will be on some Friday the 13th. Word has it that the Slytherin Code of Conduct will be adapted by the whole school too, as the other houses have found that they are the best ones ever seen and a vote by the Administration should be made this week. We look forward to seeing the Ravenclaws pull this off, as they are the least Slytherin of the houses or were that Penshire? Anyway, we decided also to replace the school song, so keep an eye out for the revision. Oh and here is a warning, someone broke into the professor�s private store and took some ingredients that could�be used for making a love potion. Zowie! Someone has some guts cause I would hate to be you!

Most people never forget about New Years. Most don't even think about not having any plans on New Years. They're more worried about not having any plans, not having a party to crash, not having friends to be around, not having fun on New Years, not doing the countdown, not feasting on sugar candies and butterbeer. Yes, they're more worried about being alone and having nothing to do. Why? Simply because of the event itself. New Years is a time to celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a year. Bad memories might be forgotten, good ones will be held close and new realizations might actually come to mind. It really depends on each person. There really is no defined point to this article, nor is there any message behind it. But I am no dead, I have not run away and I am still a Shireling. I'll leave you with a couple of my resolutions for the heck of it, but in the meantime, go grab a friend and go on a date. It's the love month of the year anyways. The New Years' month has already passed.
1. Stock a life-long stock of sugar quills
2. Complete the final exam of whatever class I managed to complete
3. Attend every school dance? That might not work but it's worth the try
4. Try not to bore everyone to death with my resolutions
5. Starting now.

Looking for a new avatar? Want some helpful hints on obtaining one? Well, first off the most popular avatars are Professor Opal�s. She owns a shop and usually makes them twice a year. I suggest when she opens up for business that you submit your applications asap because it is first come first served. Another option is using a celebrity picture. It is very popular right now, but be sure to pick your own celeb. It wouldn�t be fun to have six Brittany Spears or twelve Daniel Radcliff pictures on the BB. The last option I have to offer you is to use a doll. The best way to find them is to look at the links in other people signatures and click on them. Then go to that site and see what they have to offer. Typically those sites have links to other sites and then you just have to do some searching to find one you like. Be sure to check out the rules because some sites do not allow use on forums or as avatars. There are plenty that do. Remember rules for hosting and linking still apply. Good luck!

After a short break, Penshire takes to the Quidditch Pitch again. This time they are up against Slytherin. Captain�s Gred Weasley and Bryony Casten are going to be up against each other. Bryony already has one win but Gred has yet to secure his place in this competition. I would say in a completely unbiased, and not because I am a Penshire and in fact keeper for the Penshire Quidditch team, that Penshire is sure another win! We have the motive, reputation and the Quidditch Cup all backing us up!
