Staff Quidditch Match Scheduled!
By Ava Black

Professor Lockhart, Hogwarts' Quidditch Chairman announced the first staff Quidditch match will be held on August 12th.  What you dont know is the teams that are planned, what I can tell you is one team is made up of Deputies and Professors while the other team is comprised of Prefects and perhaps a Head Boy.  Now the big question is will the Professors be able to stand up to the students?  Especially with the fact that the students have experience!  Only time will tell.  My best wishes to the Deputies and Professors and Good Luck because this time I believe you will need it!!!
Potty Pals?
Anonymous

Yes, you read the title right, it's not a typo, I did say Potty Pals. So, what are Potty Pals, you may ask.  The question should be who the Potty Pals are.  The Potty Pals are three Prefect Assistants of Hogwarts: Kiley Blaire, Jenii Chang, and Maya Parker.  What is it that Potty Pals do?  Well, no one really knows.  One prefect thought she had seen the three girls together in the large tub in the Prefect Bathroom.  She claims that they were fully dressed and splashing each other with a mixture of soap and water.  Upon seeing these girls the prefect closed the door and decided she could use a different bathroom.  No one knows if it was really them.  I'd keep an eye out for these Potty Pals, wrecking havoc in a potty near you.  Their motto: It's my potty and I'll cry if I want to.
Strange Behavior from the House Elves!
By Olive Snitzberry

Yes, you heard right, the house elves are getting slack! Many have been noticing lately that the food at Hogwarts has been a bit 'flimsy' lately! Oh yes, it's still delicious but it is missing its usual rich taste with that bit of extra 'oomph'! Also, on cold nights I have heard accounts of no warm bed pans to greet them! So why? I hear you asking, well there have been many theories, some believe there are a shortage of house elves, some believe that the house elves have been replaces and some *coughmecough* believe that they are rebelling against their jobs! So, what is the cause for all this mysterious 'slacking off'? We will only have to wait and see...
Slytherin Midnight Rendezvous
By A-Slytherin-Who-Will-Be-Nameless

You may ask, "Lyra and Tom? Together?!" Don't let these two lovebirds fool you. They play if off that they hate each other, but secretly they're together. But why keep it under wraps? The fact that Tom currently has a girlfriend may be one reason. The fact that Lyra dislikes fan girls may be another.

I've been keeping a close eye on these two. On numerous occasions have caught them staring at each other across the room. And many other times sitting or standing closer than regular friends would.

But the most incriminating evidence of all? One evening I was taking my usual garden stroll, when who should appear from the Forbidden Forest? The Slytherin Senior Prefect and our Blue-haired Ice Princess.

Being the curious person that I am I decided to follow the two of them. They seemed to be in a heated debate about something, and I assumed they were arguing again. Imagine my shock when Lyra planted a kiss on Tom! They both stood looking into each other's eyes for awhile more before re-entering the castle. (Most likely to be alone.)

Now, would people who hated each other really be kissing in the moonlight? I think not. And what about Tom's current beau? I doubt shell be happy to hear Tom has another on the side.
Fred and George What have they been up to this time?
By Olive Snitzberry

Even though the infamous Fred and George Weasley have left Hogwarts for good, they do have their little 'disruptions' every once in a while!

Many reports have confirmed that on the third Wednesday of the month of June, the Three Broomsticks took on the form of an old boot and the only food served was broth and mysteriously no bread was available all day! A disconcerted Madame Rosmerta later confirmed that she didn't have anything to do with the mishap and apologized profusely for any discomfort and inconvenience caused to customers that day.

But, only a week later, Misters Fred and George Weasley admitted that it was all their doing! They claimed they were testing a new product called 'Living in a Fairytale'. They said that they knew what had gone wrong as the effect wasn't meant to be as strong as that.  I suppose we can only wait and see...
A Sylvertongue? At Hogwarts?!
By A Spying Snake

Many of us are familiar with the Sylvertongue family. They've graced the pages of newspaper and magazine gossip columns for years. And although powerful and well connected, it would seem most stories revolve around how eccentric and mysterious the family is.

The newest mystery has come to Hogwarts in the form of a Slytherin girl, Lyra Sylvertongue. Many may recognize the name already as she seems to have made quite a splash since she introduced herself.

Her emerald green eyes and blue hair are trade marking Sylvertongue. However up until her appearance at Hogwarts, no one knew she existed. How could a family so closely watched by the media have hidden a child for so long?

Lyra has already shown Sylvertongue tendencies. She comes off as uncaring and self centered. However, unlike her family, she doesn't seem afraid to speak up. Granted, what she has to say isn't always the most pleasant; she doesn't hesitate to speak her mind.

However, what most people don't know realize, is that Lyra also has a softer side. There have been times that those closer to the Sylvertongue family have been quoted to say the family is as cut throat and crazy as articles often depict them. Many of these people have come to curious ends. Those close to Lyra say the opposite. She has been described as sweet and kind.

So is Lyra really a Sylvertongue? Many of her mannerisms would say yes. But how then, was she kept secret? Could she be someone else, sent into Hogwarts to parade around as a Sylvertongue? Is she slipping in her act and showing her truer, softer side? Time will tell.
The End of Tom Riddle
By kakumau

On June 26, 2007 Logan Shields first came to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Could that date mark the end to Tom Riddles power over the Slytherin house? Fan-girls everywhere are asking themselves "Where do my loyalties lie? Tom Riddle, or Logan Shields, rising Slytherin replacement to the heir of Slytherin and the next great senior prefect? Some of you may not have heard of Logan yet, but I assure you, EVERYONE will know this name: Logan Akuinnen Shields. He has already made second place in a Slytherin popularity poll. But next time, Tom might not get so lucky. When the time comes for you to decide, who will you choose?
Fan girls gone bad??
By Zezima Weasley

Slytherins own Tom riddle, may be losing his fan girls. While in the CR, It seemed that Toms bunch of girls have shortened. Some havent been seen near Tom for a while. Could this be the breaking point of Toms Casanova life? Girls in the CR have been seen with Slytherins newbie, Logan shields. Logan is new, but as it may be, girls are swarming around him. Recent polls show that Logan is favored over Tom. Could Slytherin have a new invading Casanova?
Love Letter
By Anonymous

In the past few weeks certain rumors have been filtering through the school about certain love letters reaching certain people... Some of these love letters in particular have apparently been forwarded to a particular Professor Snape. When challenged by these particular love letters it has been rumored that the Professor claimed that the people did not know him well but he was flattered all the same. It makes you wonder doesn't it...?
Snape Fan Club News
By Lily Valeriana

Maybe you remember some time ago, we Slytherins have started a Fan Club for our old Head of House, with the purpose to give him the credit he deserves. Weve had some fun there, especially with our President, Professor Seraphina Rosehill. However, due to her new position as Head of House of Slytherin, she has stepped down as President, but will remain at the club as honourable member and Future Wife of Professor Snape.

With her stepping down, the Club has gotten a new leadership, with Miss Lily Valeriana as Prezzie-poo, whereas the Vice Prezzie-poo has still to be decided upon due to recent changes in the leadership. Along with theses changes, the club has changed as well. Not only have been invented some funny games around our Potions Master, but the past Worshipping Day has been prepared and celebrated in a decent and most Snape-like manner.

While the club originally was exclusively opened to Slytherins and one Penshire student, it will now open its doors for everyone who would like to share and participate in our mission to adorender Professor Severus Snape, and prepare the next Worshipping Day in November. Along with this worshipping day, another special event is planned, and everyone is welcomed to share their opinions on this.

So, everyone who is interested to join our club or has questions concerning the club, please PM Lily Valeriana on the Bulletin Board, and you will be given the information you seek for. Until then, show your Snaper-pride, and have some fun.
The Five most likely people in Ravenclaw to become a Slytherin!
By Olive Snitzberry

We all have a side of ourselves that belongs to another house but these are the people who have shown distinct qualities to the house of the Slytherin.  Whether they may show it clearly like by teasing people when they have the opportunity or whether it be in little motions like by giving themselves a
powerful title, they are all Slytherin's somewhere deep down, a place where it rarely comes out and of course their true heart remains to Ravenclaw. I hereby dub thee as Slytherclaw's!

1. Luna Lovegood
2. Paris Moonlight
3. Amber Thatcher
4. Jacyn Corbin
5. Ariene Callahan
Alternate Land of Penshire
By Sir William of Ravenwood (Billy Raven)

It all started with a poll to vote for a Queen (Ava) or a King (Sam) for Penshire house and soon took off to sign-ups for a whole court! Course Roger Davies came in and claimed himself to be EMPERADOR ROGER! There are princesses and princes, dukes, duchesses, knights, and lords and ladies. Guards and Gatekeeper titles where claimed and even a jester and a food taster! What had started out as a joke had grown to be a full royal court and now the RPG has been started. The king, of course in counting his money, the Queen is missing, but everyone else is getting ready for a grand feast with some traveling from afar. The Penshire way has always been different then other lands, for one, women can hold jobs normally held by men elsewhere as all roles in the court are not gender specific.

The Penshire Court has always been known for its feasts and celebrations, so this one ought to be right up there among the best. The food is being prepared and the jester is practicing for her entry. The guests are freshening up and looking forward to some great food, sing and dancing. Guest continues to arrive and all will be dressed royally, as shown in the RPG with linked images of their attire. This has been a lot of fun and we should see how it all goes, but be sure, the party will be the highlight of the season!
