Press Review
A powerful extract, stylized set for Lord Jagannath, tasteful costumes for the hourglass slim dancers, excellent music by Prafulla Kar, and overall tight production control gave Sampoorna by Sharmila Biswas the status of one of the year's best productions.

Sharmila deserves special thanks for choreographing a genuinely researched, rare and beautiful dance on the origin & history of Odissi Dance.

Description
Sampoorna tells the story of Mukta Mahari, a woman belonging to the community of Devadasis. She is caught between a rigid tradition- a tradition which gives them a  mysterious, Goddess-like image and the changing world around her, which has very little space for her. Mukta Mahari - enacted by Shashimoni Mahari & Sharmila Biswas epitomises the entire Devadasi community.
