Evening of Indulgence
Dave, Tab, Lo, and I started off our evening with dinner at Hot Chocolate. We indulged ourselves on wine, cheese, chocolate, beer, dessert, apertifs and more chocolate. Shontel joined us for drinks at Bungalow where these pictures were taken. Is it obvious that we had a roaring laugh? The night ended at Subterranean, one of the only good places to go dancing left in Chicago. Ah, good times. June 24, 2006.
Party Crashing
Tabitha and I volunteered for AIDS Foundation Chicago's black tie fundraiser. I sold raffle tickets and Tabitha manned a silent auction table. Three hours of "working" equated to dressing up fun, free food/drinks, Sheena Easton, dancing with gay boys, and learning that crashing these fancy parties is way easy. Fantastic! Breck Visitors!
Hurray for friends who come to visit and help me to pass my time. I loved every minute.
Frank - Frank came out to visit me and he learned to snowboard without much help from me. A natural. Unfortunately, no pictures to prove it, but we did get several goofy ones. January 8-11, 2006.
Gina & Phyllis - A surprise visit from Gina and her friend, Phyllis! There's a pic of me in my uniform in there. January 26-29, 2006.
Lily - We rediscovered our skiing skills, spent a day in Denver, and visited the Denver mint. February 10-14, 2006.
Brother - Eugene, my beloved brother, came to visit. We tried to party, but apparently we're both homebodies. ;) Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures. February 16-19, 2006.
Vicki, Adam, Sai, Phil, and Pierre - I taught Sai and Phil to snowboard at Breck. We all went to Copper the next day and had a blast. Adam, Pierre, and I took a snowcat to the top of a mountain and hiked to a really fun bowl. Snapped a few great photos from the top. Oh, I peed up at 12,000 ft. too. Snowmobiled on the last day. February 23-26, 2006.
Tabitha - We both took a much needed vacation (yes, I needed a vacation from my vacation) to Glenwood Springs. Sat in a natural vapor cave and hot spring and visited Glenwood caverns. March 5-8, 2006.
International Snow Sculpture Contest
Snow sculptors from Germany, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, and Breckenridge descended on these huge blocks of snow. I was only impressed with two of them. January 28, 2006.
