| 9-20-99 The food was especially atrocious today. They still have not gave out the monthly account statements which have been over due for a month. If this administration worked in the Private Sector they'd of long been fired or long been a Bankrupt Corporation. They are the definition of the Lazy State Employee. 9-21-99 The day was rainy, the night was uneventful. The news showed Americans are treated worse than foreigners when hit with disaster, the gov't sends aid to other nations and offers loans to it's own people, this is totally Backwards hopefully it will raise up the masses for a change! 9-22-99 Today was store where once again they failed to correct my account. They have shorted me over $250, plus state pay for a portion of the month of June. 9-23-99 Had Kennel today, did my routine of Push-ups, pull-ups & dips, walking back and forth. Weather is beginning to cool. **Note from Jake** Kennel is a small outdoor cage used for "recreation". Outlaw Man also refers to his cell as a kennel. 9-24-99 Well today was another day. A series my brother is in had it's debut tonight. Good show, may make it. Only one week left of this month. 9-25-99 Today a thought came into my head, if a catastrophe happened on this planet and left only enough people to begin to repopulate the earth, however these few survivors only consisted of White Racist men and Black Racist Women, would both sides put aside their radical views and try to repopulate the Earth or would they prefer Mankind just go the way of the dinosaur? 9-26-99 The larger scheme of life occurred to me today. This year's play-offs are going to be difficult. Yankee pitching which has been hit and miss all year will have to buckle down. We're gonna miss David Wells this year I am certain of that! 9-28-99 Today is my Goddaughter's Birthday and this place does not even sell cards I can send. Today a mood has hit and I won't speak to anyone even slightly affiliated with the Gov't. Please keep in mind that Outlaw Man has had one fight in the 15 years he has been incarcerated. They are taught that their way of thinking is not healthy. 9-29-99 The day was uneventful. The time went by slowly, food sucked. The best part of the day is it brings me one day closer to getting out of this kennel once again. We're suppose to have some form of group this afternoon. It is suppose to be Anger & Aggression. The end of this month is upon us and tomorrow begins a new month, one closer to the next! Only 92 days left in this year as alway the food sucked, but, the small portions made it less to be nauseated with! I wondered today what ever happened to the Bill of Rights and what's more why people actually believe the Gov't is doing anything that isn't getting them paid. 10-2-99 Gov't's on my mind again. Wondering if ever they'll find out that the people turned from them years ago and they are the cause not the cure of the social turmoil of today. State Raised is the most likely person to be filled with life's worst horrors! 10-3-99 Why is it that the gov't focuses it's laws against the poorer communities and punishes most severely those who've lost trust in the system and created a way to better themselves that is on the fringe of society. Why is it that a Country, who claims to be so free, oppresses it's people so blatently? Why does a failed practice of the USSRget such raves from the public? Control Units such as these getting more and more popular in this Country can be found in studies of how the USSR imprisoned the Religious riests who would continue to Preach a Religious way of life after Communism was outlawed, Solidarity Union Leaders after they outlawed the Union in Poland. Seems during group that day an attempt was made to convince Prisoners that they not only needed to give up their beliefs, but that they must also accept society's view of what religion is. 10-7-99 Another day, feeling under the weather. Hopefully by the end of the week this bug will begin to kick. Got a new cellie today. It could of been worse. Yankees will play Boston Red Sox for the Pennant (AL). 10-13-99 When a man walks this Earth, no society, nor Gov't should have the power to decide who his Peers are as no one can look into his heart but him. Th Pursuit of Happiness is not an addiction but an inalienable right as is a man's inalienable right to walk the path of life he so chooses believing he is free to choose. A society or Gov't that treads on these for it's own ends becomes Oppressive Persecutors of days long past, the Ends never justify the means! 10-14-99 The spirit of a man lives on regardless of the torment of it's persecutors. When he is forced to bend, he does so without ever losing sight of his enemy. This is a dark time for America, so scared of it's own shadow, that it sees enemies in it's own people, behind every group, under the skin of reason for every sub-culture. The Gov't no is no longer a Republic of insight and Ideas, but a reactionary vigilante mob, punishing all for the actions of a few, seeing everyone in a single group as a single individual. History will not look kindly on the Persecutors of today. They did not seem to learn a thing from the days of McCarthyism, when a communist was lurking behind every rock. Such a natural thing to do, most would take for granted, but, myself it is what I most miss today. 10-16-99 What my thought of today is, if there are two sides to every story, why is mine constantly ignored and deemed irrelevant by the Gov't Beings. When someone's views are consistantly ignored or brushed away as irrelevant it will lead them to have deaf ears to opposing views as such growth and understanding is stunted and both sides miss out on great opportunities. 10-17-99 Today is meant to be as tomorrow, the question is only what purpose will today bring to tomorrow. When one can only focus on the survival of today, his tomorrow becomes stunted because his dream for tomorrow can not be nurtured. In this respect the poor have lil opportunities for themselves because they must be most concerned with survival and where their next meal will come from. Crushed dreams created the bitter man. When dreams are nurtured all grow & benefit. 10-18-99 When a man grows in spite of his surroundings, many times he may grow like the sapling growing from under the mighty oak, twisted and bent out of shape to find it's own peice of the sunshine. The once Great & Powerful Roman Empire fell despite it's great knowledge & wisdom. Wasn't it because they failed to see the potential of others or was it due to not allowing it's people to grow without oppression. Will America go the way of the Roman Empire of stat to actually listen to it's people and make room for straight & true growth. 10-19-99 Thoughts inspire actions, but what thoughts come to mind being tormented and what actions will result. Twisted reality can only result in twisted vision of a future. When one can see that he needs a life adjustment and makes his own concious choice to do som then he usually betters his life, but no one can make that choice for him and no Rule, Regulation or law can alter this time table. When Amnesty International condemns another country for their inhumane treatment of their Prisoners, American Gov't is up in arms about the terrible conditions, isn't Amnesty International considered knowledgeable, however when it condemns America for their practices. No one can be right, if everybody's wrong. Money is still screwed up. Mr. Associate Administrator came on tour today. Spoke with him about going to Phase III. He told me to tell the Counselors to send him a report saying I'm ready to move & he will move me as he told me he would. 10-20-99 As a society, how do we rectify the conflict between what we deem worthy of moral outrage when done on an individual basis, yet just and fair when done by society. If Lead by example is a philosophy, then we must not do anything other than what we do, for do as we say, not as we do surely is a recipe for disaster. An Essay of an example of you being narrow minded to being open minded 10-21-99 My thought of the day, when society mistreats those in lesser positions than itself its tantamount to being Barbaric. It's long been understood that the measurement of how civilized a society is, is based on how they treat their Prisoners. When will society see its Barbaric cruelty for what it is? 10-22-99 Time moves on, slowly though it may go, it still moves forward. Changes take place with each passing moment. Will you change with them to become better of a person or to become a more bitter person. Only time will tell. 10-23-99 Reflection and Contemplation will be the indicators of progress to the self . If one does not Reflect on the path his life journey thus has taken, how can he Contemplate the adjustments to his journey to reach future goals. 10-24-99 When a man travels into space & colonizes another planet, will he make the same mistakes he made on this one stripping its beauty and raping its resources for his own convenience or will he learn from the errors of his ways here on Earth and nurture the new home. 10-25-99 Yankees are 2-0 in the World Series. Will the continue to become the next champions. They do appear focused on doing just that. In other matters the factor that there seems to be a third party for the new Political ideology. Will they last the onslaught the old Political muscles will apply to them. 10-26-99 Woke to the thought of the difference between instinct and the learned behavior and what instinct compels us to learn negative behavior. no answer to this question yet, but, I will study it, for if we learn of the impulse, we gain insight into beoming its master and not its slave. The other question must be what is "negative behavior" as opposed to behavior of the left hand path. 10-27-99 Moody I feel like hell. Just found out that my cousin whom I love so dearly has Muscular Dystrophy. Writing in this book hardly seems worth the effort but I must go on. 10-28-99 Extremely hot cell, woke up with sweat dripping. Yankees took the world series in four, the question of who's the team of the Decade or Century even of all time is in doubt no more! Moving back on to the business at hand. **Note from Jake** One common occurrence in this unit was the extreme temperature changes. Either the heat was turned all the way up or it was turned off. Prisoners were either enduring extreme heat or freezing to death. Just as the Republicans and Democrats can't see the view from the other side because the mind isn't open, but oppressed by their party's political agenda, whis is based on thier need to keep funding flowing to their machine. So they let the powers that be control you and me. 10-31-99 Reflecting today on the mind of mine operated as a child, able to grasp things and see things so clear. The reason I can only assume is because I was open minded and eager to learn, my mind not cluttered with cynicism.
