| Began this second tour on 6-21-99 This journal is beginning today to make a record of treatment in this gang unit 8-9-99 Breakfast was served in one hole of the food tray. It consisted of three silver dollar pancakes, cold and hard, one spoon of farina, coffee. 8 oz of low fat milk and 4 oz of fruit punch drink. Lunch was served at approximately 12:15. It consisted of eight cheese ravioli and a spoon of broccoli. Dessert was two halves of canned pears. On the side was two slices of bread, 8 oz of low fat milk and 4 oz of apple juice. Internal Affairs was on the wing looking at rearranging cells during lunch. Inmate welder came on the wing to work on/in cell 112 around the door area. No special accomodations made for the fumes of the welding. Supper consisted of one piece of fish (4" by 1") four small canned potatoes, one spoon of cole slaw, three pieces of bread, two sugar cookies, 8 oz of low fat milk and 4 oz of apple juice. On this day, no supervisor, counselor nor administrator toured the wing . 8-10-99 Breakfast included a spoon of foul smelling imitation scrambled eggs, grits, two slices of white bread and one nectarine. Coffee, 8 oz milk and 4 oz apple juice. During the morning hours several of the group 5%ers were taken out for an interview. Last night after shutting down the journal for the evening they brought at least three more Prisoners in and put them in cells 204 and 205 with the group known as the Latin Kings. The cell is cold, have to wear my long johns to sleep since they still have not given me a blanket in the over seven weeks since I arrived. Lunch was one burger patty, one roll, lettuce and potato sticks. Dessert was one spoon of apple sauce. Only mail delivered today was Institutional mail. Supper was one slice of turkey (the kind normally considered lunch meat) covered in gravey, one spoon of egg noodles and one spoon of veg-all and three slices of bread. Dessert was one 4 oz cup of strawberry ice cream. 8 oz low fat milk and 4 oz apple juice. No Supervisor, Counselor nor Administrator toured the unit today. No Medical personnel has toured the unit this week except the Nurse who merely delivers the medication to the few on this wing who receive it, not allowed to speak to others. I still have not received my appeal of Placement given to the Administration over a month ago! **note from Jake** This appeal by prison rules is supposed to be guaranteed within 15 days. You have a general view of the food served now, so from this point on I will eliminate the menu items. 8-11-99 While eating the "generous" scoop of tuna given for lunch, I bit into what appeared to be a black shell, like a piece of mussel shell. Cell 217 was moved down to cell 117 today while cell 114 was moved up to cell 218. Store (commisary) came today. My account still screwed up and they tried to give me a seven dollar order, charging me for item not in the bag or changing them for cheaper items while charging me for the more expensive items. (charged for Dove soap whie attempted to give me Lux.) I refused the entire order. Wrote the Supervisor again demanding my account get straightened out. Was given a shower and clean-up at 8:45 pm. No Supervisors, Civilians or Administrators toured the wing today. 8-12-99 Wrote the Ombudsman to request help get my account problem corrected and to get my appeal problem corrected, and to get my other problems looked into. The Executive Assistant to the Commissioner came to see me today to discuss my appeal. He claims he doesn't see why I have to be here and will speak to the Commissioner and recommend my release. We'll see. Held up my letter to the Ombudsman, will mail in Monday if no final appeal is given. **note from Jake** This appeal was for the decision made to place him in the control unit. 8-13-99 Well this morning breakfast was even colder than usual. No meal is ever hotter than luke warm, but this moring the food tasted chilled. No Supervisor, Civilians, Administrators or Medical Personnel toured the wing today. Second shift officer never picked up the mail from the top teir. Laundry came back wet . 8-14-99 No Supervisors, Civilians, Counselors, Administrators or Medical Personnel toured the wing today. 8-15-99 A shower was taken at 10:50 am, water was scalding hot. No Supervisors, Civilian staff, Medical staff or Administration toured the wing. 8-16-99 Breakfast would have consisted of two hard boiled eggs and two slices of bread, but the wing argued with the kitchen worker and threatened to bombard the administration with remedy forms. So two boxes of frosted flakes came through. The kitchen worker was complaining that they had run out of food and those that didn't get any should just understand. Included with supper was a patty called "meat loaf". No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff nor Administrators toured the wing on this day. 8-17-99 Officer came around this morning to tell everyone Channel 7 would be filming here today, most likely during our yard period. Some civilians entered the unit and left, supposedly according to one officer, they were Federal Mediators, another claimed they were from Channel 7 but they had no camera crew so it isn't likely. Showers were had but the water was scalding hot. The associate Administrator and two officers toured the wing together today. No mention of my appeal at this time. Inmate accounts were handed out this evening dated 8-15-99. My account is short in excess of $250. **note from Jake** At this time I had been in touch with a Prisoner's Advocate and was told that there were numerous complaints from Prisoners there reporting that cash was missing from their accounts. 8-18-99 A doctor toured the wing this morning questioning those on prescription medications to see if they're working. Lt. "C" made his rounds today, brought me two packages of cosmetics, including state soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush because of the problem I'm having getting my commissary. Supper was a scoop of spaghetti, one spoon of tomato sauce (not spaghetti sauce) and two small meatballs. Also the bread, milk, fruit punch (4oz) and a spoon of fruit cocktail. 8-19-99 Told me I was on Dental Call this morning, which is odd since I did not put in for the Dentist. They postponed my dental trip this morning because they did not wish to mix STGMU with non STGMU. Claim they will bring me in in the P.M. So far, no one has come for me. 8-20-99 This morning they attempted to move me into Phase 2 without my consent, without giving me an answer on my administrative appeal and in violation of my civil rights. No Supervisor, Civilian staff, Medical staff or Administrative staff toured the wing today. The week consisted of one tour of staff with the Associate Administrator with his Captain and St. following him like a puppy and one Assistant Admimistrator, who brought the Federal Mediators like she was a tour guide. I'm really surprised she didn't get lost herself as she doesn't come here on any regular basis. This week also saw one tour by Lt. "C". **note from Jake** It is my understanding that by consenting to move on to the next phase of this "program" would nullify the appeal. 8-21-99 More crunchy rice for supper. No mail was delivered to the wing today with the exception of one USA Today newspaper. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff, or Administrators toured the unit today. 8-22-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, medical Staff or Administrators toured the unity today. 8-23-00 No Civilian Staff or Medical Staff toured the wing today. The Associate Administrator toured the wing, I once again advised him of my appeal problem, in both placement and of my items confiscated, I also spoke with him concerning my missing money out of my account. He once again gave me lip service of how its all being taken care of in an effort to get me to move into Phase II, though not taking care of anything. His words are meaningless because he never takes care of anything for me to date, only tells lies. 8-24-99 Hearings were held today, though it appears only for those who demand they convene a full hearing to be moved to Phase II. 8-25-99 Commissary orders were delivered today. My account is still $255 short. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators touredthe unit today. 8-26-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. **Note from Jake** The point of Outlaw Man repeating the lack of Staff and medical personnel, etc. seldom tour the wing is very important. These men are in a cell nearly 23 hours a day which is the size of a closet. They are systematically being starved, and many are losing their sanity. Prison officials claim in interviews that these Prisoners are monitored daily by medical staff and psychologists. That is a lie. Outlaw Man neglects to tell of his own health very often, and how requests for a nurse and medication go ignored. 8-27-99 Mr. Associate Administrator toured the wing at approximately 4pm this afternoon. His entourage included one Captainand the Preacher as well as Sgt. O. He gave word he will look into the appeal Monday. 8-28-99 No Supervisors, Civilian or Medical Staff or Administrators toured the wing today. 8-29-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the wing today. **Note from Jake** Sorry to keep buttin in. Just a reminder that the meal portions on most days are so small that a child would not survive on it. Many times the food is so bad that it is inedible, even for a starving man. 8-30-99 Another working day has passed without the Administrator deciding my appeal of this Administrative Placement. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the wing today. 9-1-99 Two hard boiled eggs, a spoon of farina, milk juice and coffee for breakfast. Sheets were changed. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff, or Administrators toured the wing today. 9-2-99 They claimed to have run out of food at linch so the last four trays were shorted. Today Mr. Associate Administrator came over and tried again to place me in Phase II without giving me my Due Process Appeal. When I told him till I get my appeal nothing has changed, he attempted to move me into a cell of a highly contagious Hepatitis C Prisoner, who regularly bleeds out of his nose. I refused that, so he kept my cellie from advancing as well. No Supervisor, Civilian Staff or Medical Staff toured the wing today. 9-3-99 My appeal was delivered today, 42 days late. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff, or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-4-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-5-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-6-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-7-99 No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-8-99 Commissary was delivered today. Still no change in my Balance. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get them to correct my account. No Supervisors, Civilian Staff, Medical Staff or Administrators toured the unit today. 9-9-99 Mr. Associate Administrator toured the unit, told us we were moving to Phase II tomorrow. No other tours. MOVE TO PHASE II to start this nonsense! continuing to Phase II NEXT PREV HOME |
