IT'S MY LIFE
Nov 23 2005
Alisha and Eli came out for the Marine Corps Ball and spent 8days in San Diego, on base, Las Vegas and Big Bear Lake. So on Nov 7th, Alisha and I got engaged. Not really the way I planned it, but she of course got the ring that she picked out. lol. On November 10th, the Marine Corps Birthday, Alisha and I were pronounced husband and wife, and I kissed the bride. Our honeymoon with Eli intact was to Big Bear lake. A mountain with ski resort etc, north of LA. Of course there was no snow, and so we just enjoyed the beautiful sights and took lots of pics.

< We had a great time, and the only complaints seemed to be the time change and the emptyness of the desert. So somehow, through my charm, smile, frequency to mess things up, and cuz I'm so cute, I found and married the greatest woman on earth. Now, Eli, Alisha, and I are working to become a family. I just have to get out of the Marines and get home. I miss her so much. I'll be home Dec 16th-Jan 4 before going to Iraq again, then out in June.

Wow, Labor day wkd! Truly unbelievable. I tried to surprise Alisha at Zales by coming early and wearing my blues, but the airline lost half my luggage after my flight left late, and I missed my connecting flight. Grrr. We left Sat and went to Donna's of Berlin bed and breakfast. Jacuzzi, privacy, it was just great. Sunday, we were at my dad's for the big family party. Alisha got to meet everyone and had fun, though she got grilled about our relationship. lol. Anywho, Monday she worked until the afternoon, then we got Eli and headed back to my dad's and went to dinner with them at ATI/OARDC. That was great, and Eli cried because he couldn't pet the fish in the pond. Oh well, life goes on.

Umm....Wow!
I came home July 1st for 10days for the greatest holiday of the year. Independence day. The whole week was great. Just hanging out with friends and partying it up. 4 fireworks shows in one week, a Toby Keith concert, my first visit to Kelly's Island and realizing that I have less then a year left. Thurs.
I went out on a date with Alisha. A great girl from Plymouth, who I've talked to for over 4yrs. now. We had a great time just being us and chose to go out again. With her younger sister and her beautiful son Eli in tow, we met up at Kingwood Center in Mansfield and commenced with our mission of beautiful pictures. Eli was of course the center of attention, and at 14months, has quite an obscession with stairs and anything electronic but mostly mommy's cell phone. Next was the fireworks in Shelby. A miniature show, it was still a lot of fun, and the most exciting that ever goes on in Shelby. We certainly enjoyed the night, and I got to spend extended time with a small child.
Toby Keith.
Alright, I like country music, but on a very limited scale. However, Katie and I did venture to Blossom to get a little Toby action. Compliments of my Aunt Carla, Toby's #1 Fan! Starting with music that I liked but was nearly unfamiliar with, Toby decided to show his true patriotism. Rocking out with Whiskey Girl, I love this Bar, Let's Talk About Me, Should of Been a Cowboy, and Weed with Willie. Then it was time. The Taliban Song, American Soldier, and Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue. The American Soldier was not sang by Toby, but instead by a young boy from the make a wish foundation, who not even showed Toby up, but was able to bring the whole crowd to tears. The most patriotic thing that I have ever seen. A crowd of all different types of people, singing along with a 5yr old boy who with a terminal disease, sang his heart and soul about the pride that he feels to be an American. I was in tears from the beginning, and I know that know one including Katie will ever know how that song touched the inner depth of my soul. In everything that we focus on in life, it was nice to receive a spiritual cleansing at the hands of a person who knows that his time here will soon be finished. That is the real idea behind true American pride.
In other news, my friend Laura and I hung out, and got to go the fireworks in Wooster and Brookpark. We had a great time, and even got to watch Slingblade. haha
Well, Alisha and I decided to start dating. It's going great, and I can't wait to come home. It's great when you meet someone who thinks you are as special as you think they are.

This is a battle that Alisha started with me to see who could have the highest rating. Help me out and vote for me. You can also join because of me. It's a fun site and would be better if I was winning. ARGH!
