| Thank
You Letter |
music:
John, Will & Baron | words:
John |
I
used to be something I regret
But now I see
How Your love forgave me
I was in the dark, but You
Turned me to look toward The Light
And I thank You

|
| |
-chorus-
'Cause when I fall
You're always there to pick me up and
When I'm down
I've always got Someone to talk to
And when I'm alone I don' have to be afraid
You're always there and I thank You
 |
So now I follow You
And every single step I take
I will take in You
And all I ask
Is that You let Your light shine through

|
| |
My God, I just can't see
How You could love me
Yet, You do it abundantly, unconditionally
And I know that Your love is Your gift to me
How You took me back with just an apology
I was blind but now I see
And I will do what you want me to be
'Cause now I see
That my life is for the man
Who gave his life for me
|

This is exactly what it is
titled. Its a thank you song to our Father in heaven. He is
always there when we need him no matter what is goin on in our lives, and
that, my friends, is something that we should be eternally grateful for. |
| Super
Hero |
music:
John, Baron & Harry | words: John |
A young boy walking
Walking down the beach
While starfish wash upon shore
He gasps with fright
Starts throwing them back
But for everyone wash back ten more
A lady days "son,
It really makes no difference
You could never save them all"
But with fire in his eyes
The boy picks up one more
And throws it back
"It made a difference to that one and that one"
A soldier walks
Into a pastry shop in London
It's near the end of World War II
He buys five donuts
Ten pence total
Back home that only gets two
Poverty stricken
A boy walks by the window
He hasn't eaten in days
So with mercy in his heart
The soldier gives the boy his treat
Who just stares and asks "Sir are you God?"

|
|
-chorus-
I wanna be a Super Hero
Do all I can to save the world
I would put an end to poverty
And fight evil villains
Use my powers to save the lives of millions
 |
A broken man
Walking a broken path
Two beams of wood across his back
He falls once
Again and Again
While streams of leather strike is back
He pushes onward
No hate in his heart
While the crowd spits and mocks
A nail drives in
Again and Again
(It was) the greatest battle ever fought
 |
|
They hoist him high
For the world to see
The world he saved with his love
He shows no hate
Sinless he hangs
He was the greatest Super Hero of them all
Luke 21:1-4
| Mark 12:41-44 |
This
song is about how the smallest things can make a difference.
Like the widow that gave so little but it was all she had, when we do
something that may seem like nothing, but we do it with a full, loving
heart, then it accounts to God as all that we have. This song
encourages one to do anything and everything they can do to make the world a
better place. In doing this, we will be a witness to the greatest
Super Hero of all, Jesus Christ. |
| East From West |
music:
John, Will & Harry | words: John |
Mountain ranges high
And desert valleys low
I will survive the heat and the snow.
From parting sight of peaks
To sifting of the sands
I will bravely step to front until Im home

|
|
-chorus-
And He will give me strength
To move this journey onward
Or carry me until Im done
And although I may fall short
And not always do my best
My sins are still as far as east is from the west
 |
Crystal starry skies
And Hurricanes that blow
He will provide His comfort to show
That after darkest nights
The sun again will rise
Hell make that vast sierras His own
 |
Our walk as Christians is like walking through a mountain range. When we hit the top of a mountain, we are at a spiritual high, but in the distance, we see a mountain that is a lot higher, and would be a greater accomplishment to climb. So we trek down the mountain we were on into the hot desert valleys where we struggle to carry on. Its in these valleys that we learn the most which gives us strength for the climb that is to come. As Christians we have our spiritual ups and downs. Its in our spiritual highs that we feel like we are on top of the world and in the desert valleys of our walk that we feel furthest away from God. Yet, its in the darkest nights and the deepest valleys that we learn the most about what God is doing in our lives. He is strengthening us for harder times to come. Whenever we feel that we cant push onward, all we have to do is ask Jesus to help us and he will give us the strength to move on, or even carry us if we are too weak. The chorus in the song pretty much sums up the entire thing. Even though we always fall short of what Jesus was, and we never do the best that we can, Jesus still forgave us for our sins; hell never let us go. Think about this. If you start at the most northern point, and start heading south, you can only go so far before you start going towards the north i.e. you can only go so far south. But when you start to east, you will always go east. Youll never start going west. |
| A Praise Song |
music:
John | words: John |
Woke up this morning
Felt like singing
Saw the sun shining outside
Couldnt help but want to praise
The God of everything
The God of all things good and bad

And even though we give up
Before we ever begin
He still holds tight
Never changing
|
|
-chorus-
He is/Praise Him who's strong when we are weak
The God of endless mercy
The God of earth, (the) sky, and the sea
When we are blind He always sees
Slaves to sin, He set us free
The God of all eternity

|
Woke up (again) this morning
Didnt really feeling singing
Theres no sun outside today
Didnt feel that I could praise
The God of everything
The God of all things glad and sad
And even though we give in
Before we can ever hold out
He still holds tight
Never changing
 |
Its amazing how quick we are to praise God when things go our way, but when things get crummy we just want to wallow in our self pity. This song is about how whether we are praising God or not, he always is there to hold us and never let us go. Hes the God of everything, and does everything for us. He even sent his one and only son to be a living sacrifice for us; to take the wrath for our faults. |
