A detailed and concise history of Ossuary

Ossuary was formed in late 1990 with Shahril (drums), Bidi (bass) and Arafat (guitars). They  eventually recruited Omar to handle vocals duties and started jamming on covers as well as writing some originals.
In late 1992, Ossuary performed their first gig at the Singapore World Trade Centre Amphitheatre. This gig was their first real exposure to the local music scene and thus helped to get their name known.
In 1993, the band entered the New School Rock 4 competition, performing two of their originals, 'Endangered Nation' and 'Atrocious Game'. Ossuary and the other winning bands were offered to record their songs on the New School Rock 4 CD. R ight after the competition Arafat left Ossuary, and this led to Sham filling in as temporary guitarist. After a few months, Azri came on board as the new guitarist and the band continued to perform gigs around Singapore.
In late 1993 though, Ossuary experienced another line-up change when Omar left the band. This led to Zali filling in as vocalist only to be replaced again by Ajak after a few months.
In 1994, Ossuary entered the Hotline and Competition and eventually won the grand champion with Shahril and Azri emerging as best drummer and best guitarist respectively.
Later that year, Ossuary won another competition at Fire Disco Singapore and was offered to record their song, 'Majestic Vision Of Desolation' on the Fire Disco compilation CD.
Ossuary continued to perform gigs throughout 94-95 and even managed to appear on TV playing 'Majestic...' live on Asia Bagus!
In the beginning of 1996, Ossuary faced a setback when Azri left the and followed by Bidi later that year. This led the band into a state of inactivity  but later that year Shahril and Ajak decided to regroup the band and recruited Aim and Joe as guitarist and basist respectively.
The year 1997 saw Ossuary writing new songs and performing at gigs with the new line-up. In June 1997, Ossuary were 'discovered' by an inependent label called Snakeweed and was offered to record and album. The band hit the studio to start recording in July and the whole session ended by January 1998.
InFebruary 1998, the album 'Ossuary' was released in Singapore and Malaysia with positive reviews and reactions not only within the region but as far away as the United Kingdom, Canada and some parts of Eurore as well.
For the rest of 98, Ossuary continued to perform gigs and in June 99, made their first trip to Malaysia to showcase their music there. The band continued to perform gigs but in July 2000, Ossuary decided to depart with Joe over creative differences. This led to Jali joining Ossuary on board as the new bass player, an admission which gives a vital push for the band to forge on the musical quest Ossuary started years ago.
