Ossuary Ossuary (Snakeweed) rated 9 out of 10
If you've been following band competitions, Ossuary will be a familiar name. This four-piece metal monster has been fielding a changing line-up that resolves around drummer Shahril's mechanically precise stickwork. They've got that tight Pantera sound down cold: the giutars flows forth like heavy lava, the vocals rage with Phil Anselmo-esque mania, and the kick drum leaps out of your stereo with a bottom tighter than a constipated rear end.A really impressive recording, though this sometimes make them sound like a total Pantera rip-off.This is also the debut of Snakeweed, a new label dedicated to exposing local music far, far away from the mainstream.

Ossuary was simply excellent, no doubt about it. They rocked the house that night with their brand of new school hardcore.Their set was full of newer songs unavailable on their current album. The songs reminded me of a much harder version of Rage Against The Machine especially with the cool riffs and solos that would have gotten Tom Morello tossing and turning! If this is any indication of what we can expect from Ossuary, then their upcoming album by the end of the year is one that will blow your brains out.

Buzzhunt Grand Finals Bintang Square Kuala Lumpur July 29 (Feature Ossuary amongst others as guest band)
The much-awaited new school hardcore Singaporean band Ossuary, took on the stage next. They brought four songs, two of which are from their album.Clad in casual shorts and singlets Ossuary seemed ready to impress and draw attention.A cover song,'Seeking' opened their energetic, performance. This four-piece band blew the crowds away with their energetic, power-packed and inhumanly tight performance.Other songs performed by the band were Hatred, Hypocrisy and Suffer In Truth.
After speaking to those who had the oppurtunity to see Ossuary's performance in Kuala Lumpur, I came across a unanimous opinion: the drummer Shahril's performance was impressive. And to ensure the best audio experience for the band's performance, their producer came down all the way from Singapore to do the sound for them. The result was a jaw-gapping performance and a request for them to do another 30-minute set, which they politely decline.
